I’ve been seeing Dr. Shahamat since I was 16 years old as well as my entire family since he was in his Mahwah office. I went for a visit today and he literally didn’t remember who I was. I actually cried on my way home. He was rude and this is not the Dr. I’ve been seeing for so many years. I think he’s lost his way…

I was a patient of Dr Shahamat since he first took over the practice over 25 years ago. He has always taken a long time during all of my appointments and I’m so thankful!! He is very thorough and gets to know me, his patient. The wait time has always been long but well worth it because he gets to know all of his patients. He has never given me an incorrect diagnosis and has always treated me with absolute respect!! You are never just a number to him, you are his patient unlike most doctor’s nowadays. I wish there were more doctors like him in this world!! I would highly recommend him as a doctor.

Worst doctor with no respect to the patient be Screaming & forgetting things what he said no accurate diagnostic. Waiting for 2 1/2 hrs in the room!!!

If I could give him zero stars I would. He has no compassion for his patients at all. My husband had been seeing him for years. Ended up having covid. Not a single call from Shahamat. When we called him he wouldn’t even take our calls. We ended up using my doctor at valley medical. They, without hesitation, spoke with my husband and relieved his stress and offered suggestions to make him more comfortable. Shame on Shahamat for not even helping to relieve our stress during this difficult time.

Great doctor. Unfortunately their office staff doesn't realize they are in the customer service business. As other reviewers mention below, they have a very bad attitude. The space itself needs to be re-done. My new primary care is in a clean, modern facility with online portal access and other 21st century features. This place is stuck in 1995.

Avoid unless you want to spend all day waiting around for a doc with no time management skills. Hour late for appointments is not uncommon.
