Don't go here if you actually care about your mental health. The point in going there is to make you feel better, not feel worse. There are better options. Also, to the staff, just so you know.. the walls are paper thin. You can whisper all you want behind the closed door. The client will still hear you. Do better.
Been with them for over 2 years, I see complaints about medication and such but they even tell you it's your responsibility to make sure you call a week in advance to set up your Dr appointment every month. No big deal takes 5 minutes if that. The counselors are amazing. The other staff is as well. 2 years zero issues.
Every month for 4 years I have to call over and over to ask them to send my prescription.. Every month it's late about a week.. Not once not twice but 4 years this.. Then the doc tries to talk all nice and says sorry.. So the cycle continued years. I WOULDN'T recommend.. If you value your mental health this isn't the place for you. It seems we are a number and deff not a priority... Don't think it's the good to always be a week late on meds.. edit still have to call n beg them to call in my meds. Still a joke. Now trying to switch doctors cuz I'm not sure Jen Bowen cares about her Patient.. She also didn't call me for my appointment. I had to call and ask why. They said computer issues and she isn't in but will call u. I waited by the phone the entire day to never get that call. Yet they send a paper saying I missed the appointment. When Jen Bowen nerve called me like they said she would. Whelp now on 3 day this month no meds still calling everyday to ask why. They just keep saying they'll do it .. I'll hold my breath. Hopefully the new doc I get next month won't do me like Jen Bowen has treated me the last 4 years..
The therapist I had was rude, disrespectful, and unhelpful. They do not understand how to deal with individuals with mental health issues, they only know how to deal with substance abuse issues. Of course, they don't bother to tell you that before you waste your time going - which usually includes waiting 40-60 minutes past your appointment time before you are rushed through your appointment with a therapist who checks her watch every 2 minutes and rolls her eyes at every comment you make. I was left in worse shape after using their services.
I never write reviews, but when I feel something is outstanding I must share my experience. I've been working with Vince Ruiz for the last few months and I must say he is the only counselor that i have ever looked forward to talking with every week. He is the most honest, straight forward type of person. I am a veteran and so is Vince, I don't know if that is the reason why he understands me completely but I feel like we have so much in common I take his advice seriously. I've had my ups and downs and Vince has stood by me the entire time. Vince is the greatest counselor I have ever had.
I love Dr. Bowen and the staff. Bertha is wonderful receptionist. They are always so caring and helpful. Highly recommended!

The worst place ever. Make you wait atleast 15-30 minutes each appointment. The NP Jennifer Bowen prescribed me a new medication I called multiple times and emailed about having side effects no one ever called back. Finally called and spoke to a nurse I’ve never met before, he said stop taking meds and they’ll get back to me. That was THREE WEEKS AGO. They don’t take mental healthy seriously. It’s really terrible
I have called this place numerous times for an appointment.. I was told there as at least a 4-5 month wait for people with insurance. I'm always told to leave a voice mail, in which i do, and they will return my call. They never call back and I am still waiting for that phone call for my first appointment.. That was at the end March of 2018... Thanks for the help👎
