List of Konstantin Astafurov's Reviews
Was at the office with my spouse, who couldn't drive home after dilation. I had a painful bump on my eyelid, so asked to be seen while there. Surprised they fit me in! Dr Astafurov had a great 'bedside manner'; he dx'd the problem as age-based oil clogged ducts, said to use tea bag compresses, & phoned in an ointment to CVS. CVS had to order the ointment! Woke up the next day, eye was 10x more swollen! I'm going elsewhere.
Dr. Astafurov performed scleral buckling surgery for my detached retina. He's very down to earth and reassuring, patiently answering all my questions. He also rearranged his schedule to get me in surgery first thing in the morning to save my vision. I'm very happy with his skill and professionalism. Highly recommend!
I usually go to Dr. Idrees for retinal care; since she is on maternity leave, I saw Dr. Astafurov instead. Unlike the gentle Dr. Idrees, he did the final exam by putting me flat on my back and using a probe to prop my eyeball open. My eyeball was numb, but the sensitive tissue around my eye was not. It as like being repeatedly poked in the eye with a sharp stick. It was excruciating. Horrible experience

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
