An eye doctor has no business making diagnoses of neurologic conditions. He caused a lot of unnecessary consternation in our household. Fortunately, a real neurological expert disavowed Dr Richman's "diagnosis". The establishment that referred us to Dr. Richman apparently has received similar complaints to mine, and no longer refers to him. I have other issues with my experience at this practice, but frankly this is probably enough.

I just moved to NJ from out of state, and I was very concerned about finding the right optometrist to take care of me. I broke by glasses and could not find a local optometrist who was able to fix them because I have issues with my vision that are unusual and difficult to treat. My former optometrist recommended Dr. Richman, and I could not be more pleased. He understood the urgency of my situation and adjusted his schedule to fit me in. When I came in, he had an immediate understanding of my issues, gave me thorough exam, gave me a new script, and got my glasses fixed. As a bonus, he was friendly and compassionate. I am very fortunate to have found him. He is worth the drive and truly deserves the many awards hanging in the wall.

Was referred here because my son is autistic to only find out this doctor has no compassion whatsoever for the autistic community. We are appalled by Dr. Richman and his discriminatory behavior. Special Needs Parents steer clear of this office.if I could give ZERO stars I would.

Dr Richman was very patient with all three of my children. The doctor and staff are always friendly and accommodating.

Very rushed in exam and didn't listen to my concerns. My script I received was completely off. Had to go to another Optometrist for correct script.

I took my two little kids there and he was very impatient with them and couldn't be bothered trying to get their script and especially why my one daughter couldn't see that well out of one of her eyes. He said they were fine my kid still could't see the blackboard and we went to another Optometrist and they found a small cyst in her right eye causing the impaired vision. They said she could of went blind if we didn't catch it in time. This guy should lose his license!! I am filing a formal complaint with the Attorney General about this incident.

He is very patient and an excellent doctor for my daughter. I would highly recommend him and his office.

Dr. Richman has been excellent treating my son, who is autistic, developmentally delayed and non-verbal. He has always been very patient and understanding with him. Whenever I have had an issue he is always willing to see my son immediately. I would highly recommend him.
