I LOVE Dr. Young! She sees my entire family including myself, husband and my parents who are senior citizens. She is very responsive, compassionate, professional, and has coordinated the care for all of our specialists. She found the smallest malignant breast lump during my mom's physical. Even the oncologist was impressed that she found it from a manual exam. She then referred my mom to the most wonderful practice of women oncologists, surgeons... they are truly a GOD send, and included me in every aspect of my mom's care. The wait is usually around 15-20 min... HOWEVER she takes her time, answers all of your questions, offers alternative solutions and has the best bedside manner EVER! Having said this, Dr. Young's staff is improving as she grows. As a business leader, I understand how difficult it can be to acquire and sustain a loyal staff. I would say don't throw out the baby with the bath water, because Dr. Young is AWESOME.

Dr Karen Young is by far 1 of many horrific doctors that should NOT be allowed to work in the medical field. I've been a cancer patient for 2 years and a half. But dr karen young carried a major high conceited, 'she's the boss' attitude when I first saw her. I needed a referral so that I could receive medical treatment by an OB/GYN. I finally got a referral but dr karen young listed the wrong address for the OB/GYN. The 3rd time I needed a referral, it was to see my breast cancer surgeon, but dr karen young again ruthlessly ignored my request for a referral. I made numerous, agonizing calls to maplewood family medicine office, asking them to please give me a referral. I recently spoke to 1 of the front desk receptionist and I was told that my message would be sent to the manager of maplewood family medicine office. Now every time I call maplewood family medicine office to ask for a referral they rudely switch me to a referral requested voicemail. I still haven't received a call back from anybody at that maplewood office. dr karen young is rude, ignorant, highly incompetent, doesn't have the ability to be professional nor kind towards any patients, especially none that has a history of carcinoma cancer. I'm searching for a new PCP somewhere else!

It's so refreshing to see a physician who doesn't force me to aggressively advocate for myself to get adequate medical attention and consideration. Dr. Young is very thorough and attentive. Not once did I feel rushed or dismissed in any way. Excellent standard of care - the way it should be!

I love this office! Whether I visit with Dr Young and Evelyn or Dr Miguez and Vanessa they always give a thorough explanation on what’s going on. A tremendous group of women!

It was hard to get an appointment as a new patient. But, once I got my first appointment I was taken care of right away. The staff was very patient and friendly. And, even though I was nervous and having trouble remembering my health history Dr. Young was very nice to me and understanding.

Dr. Young is a gem, medicine is truly her calling. You will want to her to be your entire family doctor, she is that good. Her bedside manner is 5 stars, patient to the hilt and takes her time to explain any health issues and concerns to you. She is very responsive to questions, requests and concerns and does not rush you out of the door. Your appointment time window will address any medical concerns you have and patiently at that. She truly deserves all the consistent good reviews on her practice. Her office is clean, spotless and organized. You will be thankful that she's your primary care physician, all these good reviews show how appreciated she is for how she treats her patients.

Phone service is pretty. Tried to make an appointment for the first time and the lady had me on hold for 30 mins and my phone died. Tried calling back and no one picks up... Looking at the reviews Karen seems like a great doctor but I can’t even make an appointment with her.

Dr. Young is simply the best! She is caring, patient, knowledgeable and most importantly relatable! She is my doctor as well as my children and husband's doctor. As the pediatrician to my children, she is very gentle/motherly with them which I love. The staff are good also...professional and friendly. I have met with Dr. Johnson once and she seems to be a great doctor too! In the past, the phone service wasn't that great but I've recently noticed a change in her staff and great customer service on the phone which is a plus; I'm assuming Dr. Young corrected this issue. Overall, I always have a great experience there.
