List of Allen D. Seftel's Reviews
He takes his time in deciding the best options for you. He prescribed refills and also his office is a friendly setting each time you go.
I called your office to request a refill on your prescription for Flowmax. It was last refilled on 3/20/2021 at C. V. S. C V S said they had to reach out to you to renew. After a week I went to pick up refill... After two phone calls and a fax to your office from C V S did not receive a response. I called your office to request a refill since I now was out of pills ...I was told they did not have a prescription there from you. I told the women I had the old bottle from C V S with your name and number on it and was told it was incorrect........ I also requested a phone call from you to straighten this out and was told you could not call me back. MY wife also called your office 2 more times to reiterate and was treated very unprofessionally and rudely. As of today another week I have not heard from you or your office. I had to go to my primary to get a 90 day refill. MY wife and I are very displeased with the treatment we received especially I was out of pills.
The best Doctor, he listens to his patients and sets up a plan to get you healthy again. I have kidney stone and he took action where others just delays and never gave me a clear plan to take care of my kidney stones.
Thorough, professional, knowledgeable, friendly physician. Would highly recommend him to anyone.
Dr. Seftel is a highly experienced and frequently published urologist. I have had regular testing ordered ever since I started with him. His Nurse Practitioners, Kathy and Monique, are similarly excellent and kind. Getting older, I had a problem with urinary frequency and urgency issues. I took meds for a while which helped, but the problem needed a better resolution, so I asked him about a "Green Light Procedure", a photo-vaporization of the prostate where part of the prostate tissue is removed to keep it from pressing against the urethra. Dr. Seftel did it at Cooper in Camden. After some normal recovery, the problem improved substantially. I didn't have to keep looking around for a bathroom and could drink water normally. It really gave me a normal life back. I would recommend that anyone with a similar problem speak with Dr. Seftel about it. It helped me. Maybe it will help you too. In some of the blood tests Dr. Seftel ordered for me, it showed an elevated calcium level, so he referred me to a surgeon. It resulted in one of my parathyroids being removed to deal with the tiredness I felt. So he has taken care of me that way too. Dr. Seftel may initially strike some as "serious", but he's a great guy who has a good sense of humor and is a caring physician. I feel very blessed to have him help me.
very upfront
I saw Dr. Seftel on only 3 occasions after being a patient of Dr. Joel Marmar for over 20 years. Dr. Marmar retired. Dr. Seftel seemed to have the same qualities as Dr. Marmar. Intelligent, willing to listen, and most important good clinical skills. I moved from the area but had I stayed in NJ, I'd have surely continued to see Dr. Seftel for my BPH condition.
He is very competent and very kind
Dr. Seftel office staff could only offer an appointment in 3 months. After waiting that time and driving 1 1/2 hours to see one of the "top docs" in South Jersey his office informed my husband that the main office should have cancelled the appointment. The doctor evidently had a few procedures he wanted to get done and would not stay at the office to see us (per his office staff). However, the did offer to let him see the nurse. I don't think we waited three months for that! Evidently he is so busy that he doesn't need any new business. Definitely not worth scheduling with him. Go elsewhere at all costs!
I saw him for ED & infertility. Very Thorough & knowledgable

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
