They just don't get any better than Dr. Cohen. He is extremely through and professional but he makes getting a procedure as comfortable as he can. You will not be sorry choosing Dr Cohen!
One of the most intelligent and caring doctors I have ever found. Takes great care of his patients. Just a super doctor all around!
He is the absolute best! You feel so comfortable and well taken care of. Carol
Dr. Cohen is the BEST....... he listens and truly cares about his patients. I would never see another gastro/endo other than Dr. Cohen.Doesn’t rush you out like most doctors do.He makes all his procedures easily understood. He’s not just s doctor he’s a real person. For those of you whom have been to him you will truly understand. Dr. Cohen is down to earth, great sense of humor and great bedside manor.I just can’t say enough good things about this doctor.
I have been a patient at South Jersey GI for 5 yrs. They have been very thorough. The front desk staff has also been very kind. I have Amerihealth for insurance so personally have not had any billing issues. They follow up with me when I am a little lazy about getting labwork done to make sure I take care of it. Dr. Davidoff has a great bedside manner and is always thorough in explaining my condition. He also has called us back outside of hours when we have had questions.
do not use this group!!!!!!!!!!they tell you insurance covers procedure and they lie!!!!!!!!billing staff is so unprofessional!!!!!! doctors do not call back!
Dr. Cohen is obviously an outstanding physician. His concern for his patients is genuine and he earns five stars for his bedside manner. I would recommend Dr. Cohen to absolutely EVERYONE. ~ Peggie Jewell
I've been seeing Dr. Cohen since the mid 90's and he is the best. His bed side manner is out of this world. He truly listens to understand your concerns and how you feel instead of talking at you.
I agree with another patient review...lacks empathy and caring about a person. He performed colonoscopy and I ended up in the hospital 3 days. He never came to see me, never called...he finally called me a week after discharge. He took no responsibility and was very condescending , like I was a nobody. He said "see you in 3 years". I believe he changed my colonoscopy report after I requested it... They would not give it to me at first, I had to really persue it. He's the worst!
Lacks empathy, lacks caring about patients.
Love his bedside matter, such a great guy. THE BEST
This review is about 7 years overdue, I was one of his patients back in 2008. I ended up getting hurt on the job and 2 years later, I was deemed disable. The State of NJ let me go and I ended up losing my insurance. Md Cohen told me that he was not going to let me die so he treated pro bono for two years. He gave me numbers and addresses of drugs company for free life saving medicines. Thank you for saving my life MD Cohen, I love everything that you stand for. There aren't to many like yourself. You put my well being before profits and I thank for that.
My primary care doctor recommended that I schedule my colonoscopy with 'the best' GI doctor in the area - Dr. Jane S. Friehling, with South Jersey Gastroenterology, P.A. They said I should expect a wait to get in to see her. That was Feb. 2017. I immediately called and got an appt for nearly two months later, next week April 26th. I was to be a new patient. I just received a call at work, which I returned shortly, to learn that the doctor would not be in on the 26th. While disappointed, I can understand changes, but what I don't understand (or appreciate) is the very rude way my call was handled by the scheduler. When I shared that I had waited nearly 2 months for the appt & had to check my calendar, she defensively said 'it's not my fault that the doctor won't be in, & as a new patient, I could go to another doctor!' When I tried to ask when the next available appt was & had to try to talk over her because she was not listening and being extremely abrupt, she exclaimed that I was yelling at her (which I was NOT!) and hung up on me! Suffice it to say, I will NOT be going to South Jersey GI. If this is the way patients are treated over the phone, i have NO interest in receiving their medical care. I guess they don't 'need' new business. They should take lessons from the impact of bad service from recent news! Things could change!
I love this Guy and I have since I started seeing him sometime in the 1980's!!!
The best at his craft.
I have known Dr. Cohen almost since he started his own private practice. I find him too be very professional & highly informative too his patients and their conditions. He is extremely thorough thru & thru and leaves no stone unturned. He's very attentive too his patients and has a well run nursing staff who stay on top of every detail. He's very caring toward his patients and shows much compassion & empathy. He's a rare Doctor indeed. Their is no way you will be disappointed in any way.
Neil is a great caring doctor. Takes the time to learn about his patients and explains the procedures.
Dr. Neil Cohen is the Best. Caring and very good at what he does.
I've been going to Dr. Cohen for over 12 years. He has treated me for a few different gastro problems over the years and I've always felt that he really cared about me. He never rushes you and he will answer all your questions so that you understand. I would and have recommended him to anyone who needs a gastroenterologist. He really is a wonderful doctor.
I am a 26-y/o female with GERD and started going to Dr. Cohen about 1 and 1/2 years ago. He has also performed an endoscopy on me. He is a doctor that I really trust because he will spend all the time you desire going over a condition with you. I even quoted recent medical studies and he was up-to-date and able to discuss the exact studies with me.I believe that in a field like gastroenterology, it is very important for the doctor to stay abreast of new information and reports and Dr. Cohen has demonstrated this to me. He is the perfect doctor for anyone who considers themselves to be an "informed patient" or someone who enjoys a doctor that listens and spends time with you. Who doesn't?
