Lumbar sacral fusion. Ingnored my pleas that something was wrong. It was. The bone graft material had migrated from the graft area and went into the foramina where the nerve is. It hardened for six yrs while he sent me to a pain mgmt clinic for morphine. Thanks alot Kirshner, you disabled me for life and worst of all, you never give me a second thought.
had to go to him for workmens comp he ignored my complaints of leg pain now i find out i have nerve damage this doctor sucks
I am an RN who has years of experience as a trauma nurse and as a case manager for auto accident victims. I have a serious autoimmune disease that attacks my spine. When I needed to have a Cervical fusion my go to a Spine surgeon no longer took my insurance. After a through search and consulting with other medical professionals I went to Dr Kirshner. Upon meeting him I knew I made a wise choice. His bedside manner is extremely good. He wants you to understand the pluses and minuses of the proposed intervention. He is quite conservative in regard to surgery and that is a good thing. I was well prepared for my cervical fusion ( even with the COVID19 pandemic going on). My surgery was very easy on me my postop care was personalized. I am 8 weeks post op and doing quite well. As a healthcare professional the best thing I can say about a provider is that they could care for my family and friends. Without hesitation, Dr Kirshner can take care of my family and friends and I know they will get the best care available.
By far the most caring and professional dr in his field of expertise. Is there 24 hrs office or by phone.
Best doctor I've ever seen. The staff is amazing.
AWESOME, Dr. Kirshner is the most THOROUGH, patience, professional, caring, dedicated Specialist, I have encountered in decades. He is dedicated to his patients health, wellness and overall care. I trust him as if he was my Primary Physician❗
Edit:I had laminectomy diskectomy surgery with Dr. Kirshner in July of 2018. After recovery my pain level was manageable with over the counter medicine and I was able to resume a semi normal lifestyle. However, in April 2019 I began having pain and complications again. When I called Dr. Kirshner's office they wouldn't see me. I had to go to another doctor for months before my lawyer was able to get me an appointment with Kirshner. This situation does not inspire confidence in the surgeon that has operated on my spine. I am lowering my review to 2 stars until I see Dr. Kirshner again. Hopefully he will be able to make it right. My entire lifestyle is literally on the line. I will update after my appointment.
The staff in particular the person making appointment are the worst they have no feeling what apatient might be going play their music irresponsible Doctor is / reAlly good but do not know why he changed himself the statement he plays in hand of WC may be true but still he is good surgeon and good human being
Always positive great doctor.
Dr. Kirshner is literally the best surgeon I have ever been to. I had a spinal surgery with him recently and I can't say enough good things about him. His bedside manner is fantastic, which many doctors that I have been to don't seem to care about. He even called me back personally on the weekend to discuss some issues I was having with medications. My family and I are extremely grateful to have had him in our lives.
My husband had a laminotomy partial discectomy surgery with Dr. Kirshner and I can't say enough good things about him. He is an excellent surgeon and has a bedside manner that doctors now a days just don't usually seem to care about. He was literally an angel through the whole scary process. HIGHLY, HIGHLY recommend.
Great experience with him
Dr Kirshner performed my laminectomy/diskectomy a year ago and I have my life back! Thank you Dr. Kirshner!!
I saw Dr Kirshner for a surgery co silt for an L4-L5 disectomy/laminectomy and he was very professional and answered all of my questions as I was scared to death to have back surgery! He performed my surgery and gave me my life back. He was very confident that it would be a success before surgery and he was right. Anyone considering back surgery, he is your man for the job!!
Don't let his soft spoken voice fool you!!! His whole office is led by workman comp and he doesn't care about the pain a pt. Is having just the all mighty dollar!!! The doctor assistants do rediculous evaluations without hardly even touching you and then write reports that you are good and send you to work in severe pain cause the dr wants WC to continue sending him patients!! Just ashame the dr let's WC dictate his every move!!! He forgets the oath that he took!!
I found Dr Kirshner to be personable, caring. He is very knowledge of his profession, my first visit he did not jump into having surgery, he wanted me to seek other forms of treatment first making surgery the last resort. After I had the lumber spinal surgery, I fell twice and he made sure I was still recovering as I should. I have finish my visits with him and reassured me anytime I need him he would always be available to me. Very good bedside manner
