I had a wonderful experience for my first visit with Dr. Buford today. What a great lady! She took time to listen to my concerns and offered knowledgeable insight. I will definitely be following her to the new location in the fall.

Dr Buford entered, and expressed irritation that she was 30 minutes late. Not my problem. It was my first visit. My personal perspective is that Dr Buford was rigid, unfriendly, and after she asked me a question, before i could finish she cut me off asking me how that related to her question. I completed my response, and at the end politely said 'so now you can see how it relates to your question'. To that Dr. Buford made what can only be described as a most peculiar facial expression. Dr Buford gave me some literature, including one on mood disorders. Kind of ridiculous - a rookie move to say the least. You can do far far better.

I really didnt like how she treated me the last few times ive seen her. She is inconsiderate and I feel like she judges me every time I see her. She dismisses everything.. I dont feel comfortable talking to her either. Its like she thinks im not really sick when I come in for a sick visit or whatever. And if its happened to her or shes gotten it (and it wasnt bad) it cant possibly be bad for me either. I really do not like her. I am changing my PCM. I cant say anything nice about her.

This was my first visit with my new pcm--Dr. Bufurd. I was very disappointed! I have never experienced a doctor that was so rude and inconsiderate of my feelings as well diagnosis. I was diagnosed with narcolepsy, fatigue, and cognitive impairment. She would make comments like...you don't need anything...laugh and I seriously doubt that. I wish I would have recorded her!
