List of Donald A. Greenfield's Reviews
If I could give less than 1 star I would! I have been going to the Millburn office over 10 years. This practice has gone downhill since doctor Greenfield retired from there. It's definitely time to move on to a new ophthalmologist! I had shingles that involved my left eye and needed a prescription for an antiviral and eyedrops, I also requested a video appointment because I was unable to walk at the time. All I kept hearing was someone will get back to you, REALLY it's been several weeks and I have not received one call. Today (1/18/2023) I called for an emergency appointment because I am having left eye pain, and tried to get an in office appointment, I am sure it's a residual effect from the shingles, and of course no appointments available until February/March. The only thing I would return to that office for is my records. (1/18/2023) Fortunately, I called a different practice and when I explained my situation (post shingles/eye pain) I was told they had no available appointment until February, but said they would transfer me to the manager who was able to squeeze me in. (I hope I don't have nerve damage from the runaround Hudson Eye put me through, I am hoping that is not the case)
Dr Greenfield was caring and knowledge.
Over-billed. When I complained, I got a flat refusal and a condescending attitude. Admin staff did not listen, did not seek my consent, or explain what she would bill me. For a routine eye exam, I get billed specialist's fees for signing the prescription. When I called the helpline disputing the bill, I got a condescending attitude and deflection towards the insurance company. The doctors seem friendly and polite by design, and the people in admin & billing are rude and ready to extort. Beware. Updated 8.5.22 *** I called the person as requested in the reply. I felt unheard. They just wanted me to pay. I gave in and paid, did not want unpaid medical bills dinging my credit rating. Made sure I don't have any future appointments here.
Dr. Brahma was excellent in his diagnosis and took the time to test my eyesight in several different ways. The staff are kind, gentle and caring. Highly recommend.
Great experience at Hudson Eye Physicians in Millburn. Dr. Brahma was extremely thorough with my exam, and his calm and pleasant demeanor made me feel very relaxed. He took a lot of time explaining things to me, and answered any questions that I had. The entire staff was pleasant and professional.
Scott Walsman is super competent and treated my problem with efficiency
Dr. Walsman gave me great care on my visit to the Millburn Office yesterday. He was very professional and explained every procedure. He explained in a way I could understand. I felt at ease as he cared for me. He deserves the highest rating. I would recommend him for your eye care needs
Excellent patient care.
This place is the worst! I have been seeing Dr. Wagner for years, and I had never had any issues until he came here. It is IMPOSSIBLE to get an appointment, and now I don't know what to do! Nobody from the office answers the phone or returns my messages. I don't even know how to get my health records so that I can pass them along to a new doctor outside of the practice. They don't answer calls or online requests for appointments. Save yourself the headache and find a doctor elsewhere. I am considering filing a complaint with the state health board. The two times I have been here (which is not nearly enough as I haven't been able to book an appointment for over a year), the wait has been atrocious. Their contact and scheduling system needs to change ASAP.
Staff and doctor are all very pleasant. The wait time was short and my appointment was not rushed. They really took the time to listen to my concerns and were not condescending in their responses. They also don’t push services that are not needed. Excellent communication and bedside manner.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
