Donald Polakoff's Online Review Report Card

I went to Dr. Polakoff for my left hip pain. He conducted a thorough examination and fully explained my condition and treatment options. The office staff was very professional.

I truly believe God opened a door that led me right to Dr.Polakoff.Had my right side hip replaced by him and I could'nt be happier.His staff also plays a big part in the success of his practice.I would highly recommend.

I was a new patient with the doctor. I was told to get x-rays prior to my appointment.. and I did so. On my visit Dr. Polakoff talked with me gave me a 3 minutes physical exam, and diagnosed me. I asked about the x-rays and he said they were not good images that were forwarded to him and he could not read see them clearly. He said maybe some physical therapy would help, I asked if he could get new images from the lab and he said he would look into it. I expected a call form him but nothing for a week. I had to call the office for an update and he never took my call His associate told me that the doctor wanted me to go for a MRI. I did again nothing from the doctor. They wouldn't even share the findings with me. I asked for a call from the doctor.nothing I called the office again to find out that he is on vacation for 2 weeks. I have since moved on to another doctor. Do not use a single practitioner doctor office. I am sure he billed insurance for what I am not sure.

If it wasn't for Dr. Donald Polakoff I would not be on this Earth right now. I was a DOA / double-amputee headed to Robert Wood Johnson hospital when this man came into my life and rebuilt both my ankles. next to my 4 children he is the greatest thing that's ever happened in my life

Two new hips, no more pain. I work on ladders everyday. Up and down like i was 25 agian.

Highly recommended this doctor.  Was told my another orthopedist that I had to have surgery on my meniscus.  Dr.Polakoff examined me and recommended a cortisone shot before surgery. His staff is extremely courteous.  Office was impeccably clean.  Dr. Polakoff is kind and caring and extremely thorough.  He took a great deal of time to explain everything to me.

Replaced both of my wife's knees one at a time due to her weight. Found him to be personable, concerned, punctual and most of all, knew what he was doing. Took excellent care of managing my wife's pain after each surgery. Authorized her to go to physical therapy (Twin Boro is right down the street and they did an excellent job). All in all, an excellent Dr who took very good care of my wife.

When a patient has a real concern in regards to a doctor performing a medical procedure on the wrong body part, one can lose confidence in the doctor. I have no confidence with this doctor and left his practice.

I want to say a big THANK YOU to Dr. Polakoff and his great staff. You made my husbands hip replacement surgery less stressful then we ever thought. I want to personally thank Dr. Polakoff for giving my husbands quality of life back. You and your staff are a joy to work with.
