List of Alessia Roehnelt's Reviews
Dr. Roehnelt was absolutely wonderful! She asked great questions, and I could tell that she truly was listening and cared about my health and my thyroid problem. If you are looking for an endocrinologist who truly cares and will help you, look no further!
Dr. Roehnelt is a life saver. Her bed side manner is amazing and she helped me when I felt like I was going crazy. My hormones were out of control. Feelings of depression, extremely tired, and emotional for anything. I saw Dr. Roehnelt and she reassured me that I wasn't crazy and that she had a situation to my problem. She explained my options and what was going on with me. She is truly God sent. A few weeks after seeing her I started to feel like myself again. I couldn't as for a better doctor. I have since referred my family and friends to her for all endocrine related issues.
Literally the most nicest, caring, kind doctor I’ve seen in a very long time. I am a recovering thyroid cancer patient and came to dr Alessia Roehnelt for a second opinion. She took her time with me, answered all my questions and made me feel heard as a patient. I am a very nervous person, especially when i visit doctors offices. Dr Alessia and her staff made me feel welcomed and relieved. I’m so happy and i will stick with her as my endocrinologist. Thank you so much Dr.Alessia!
I was waiting for an appointment with her more than 2 months. A day before I called to find out what paperwork I should filled out …I found out my appointment disappeared.
Dr. Roehnelt is far and away the best healthcare professional I have ever had. She is extremely knowledgeable and professional and understanding and kind. I look forward to seeing her anytime
Dr. Roehnelt has honestly changed my life. About three years ago I began to feel very unwell both physically and mentally. I had no clue what was going on with me, until I started seeing Dr. Roehnelt last year. Dr. Roehnelt is warm, friendly, she listens and I feel as though she actually cares about my well being as opposed to many of the doctors I had seen before her. She's very thorough with bloodwork and she explains everything in a way that is understandable. I also get my bloodwork done in her office location in Montclair and the staff there is lovely. The person who takes blood has never bruised me and the ladies in the front are really easy to talk to (shoutout to Sally!).
I had my first visit with Dr. Roehnelt, and she is the best endocrinologist I've had. I was diagnosed with Hashimoto's disease over 11 years ago. She was the most thorough doctor I've had; she took her time asking me all the right questions. I love that she does the ultrasound herself unlike my other doctors (where I've had to make separate appts at a radiology place). I was not rushed and she answered all my ?s clearly. Highly recommend!
Unacceptable - very rude staff
Got diagnosed with Hashimotos, which is an autoimmune disorder. I was told by Alessia that we would just monitor my blood work. Found a new endocrinologist recently and diagnosed with the same thing but this time I was actually offered an alternative to the "sit and wait" until your thyroid is completely destroyed option. (Also must include he ordered way more bloodwork than she did as well. And he was even perplexed at her strategy) Diet can really help with this, especially cutting out sugar. I give her one star for her lack of education, lack of direction, and leading me to believe I had no other options. This is something that should be proactive. Find a different endocrinologist! We as patients have to go through lots of trial and error with finding the correct MD, she is not it.
Dr. Roehnelt is extremely knowledgable, helpful, patient, up on all the new treatments in diabetes. My wife is seeing her for a bone scan problem and is very pleased with her care, as well. We highly recommend her...and we have seen many doctors before her. She is wonderful!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
