I would not recommend anyone goes to this physician because of her very poor and unprofessional mannerism, she is not pleasant, very confrontational, and vindictive.
Dr. Barnes has been my family doctor for years. She is very compassionate, knowledgeable and helpful. I would definitely recommend her services if your are in the tri-state area.
After finding Dr. Barnes on my Aetna Dr. portal, I was excited to finally have a PCP of my very own because its been A WHILE. I needed a PCP to evaluate me and check my health for a medical clearance for a surgery I am scheduled for next week. Dr. Barnes was INCREDIBLY patient with me as I was very stressed in trying to get labs done multiple times (because I wanted to check them twice) and sending me in for an EKG. She took it upon herself to ensure my safety and also have me take a Chest X-Ray which I appreciated because it is an added measure of safety some surgeons require (mine didn't although I was happy to be extra safe). When my original EKG came back irregular, Dr. Barnes put me in touch with an incredible Cardiologist in the area (Dr. De Gregorio- I also, highly recommend him) and they managed to take me THE SAME DAY to ensure my medial clearance was returned in a timely manner to my Plastic Surgery Center. She was very thorough and ensured I was totally healthy and safe before going into this elective surgery. A huge weight has been lifted off my shoulders. I now know my heart is totally healthy and I am in "great" shape having gotten through level 4 on a stress test. I highly recommend Dr. Barnes. One thing I can say constructively is she needs to hire a new assistant (she never followed up with me- Dr. Barnes helped me with everything from coordinating appointments to faxing my lab orders and medical clearance!!! That is unheard of for a Doctor so I really applaud her for keeping her business running smoothly). Other than the assistant, I had a great experience! 5 Stars!
Had an appointment at 10. Showed up at 930 and they threw me into an exam room. At 11AM they tell me if I don't have enough cash, they can't see me... seriously? It took you guys an hour and a half to tell me that? And how do you guys fall an hour behind when you open at 9? Untimely and unaccomodating. Visit at your own peril.
I knew I should of looked at the reviews before I called. The receptionist was very rude hung up on me after I was trying to set up an appointment with the Doctor and I'm giving her all the information all the information as needed she was very condescending and very rude when I said to her your not the doctor she got madd and said she was hanging up.i said to her how are you making that decision who gives you the right. I asked to speak to someone she hung up. I would not recommend this place if this I w
super rude ,no bedside manner .
Dr. Barnes has no "bedside" manner at all. I saw her 3 times and 3 times she never warmed up. She has no patience at all. She kicked me out of her office, for no reason other then she is a bit crazy. I was there for Thyroid medication refill as I had none left which she knew. She is a BAD doctor and in my opinion should not remain in practice. I filed a complaint with UHC. AND found a really nice compassionate doctor.
Dr. Barnes refuses to answer your questions.
I will NEVER set foot in her office again! Not only did she charge me copays TWICE that I was never supposed to pay, she put through the two visits as sick visits to make more money off of me because she knew my insurance didn't cover it 100% that way. I went there for a physical and test results which is all 100% covered but she wants to be greedy. The second time I went, I was stuck waiting for 2.5 hours just for results because they forgot to write down FOUR appointments in the books!

I went there for a physical and test results which is all 100% covered but she wants to be greedy. I have been trying for THREE WEEKS to get in touch with someone in billing and not one of my phone calls were ever returned. And their answer is "she's not here right now I'll take a message." The second time I went, I was stuck waiting for 2.5 hours just for results because they "forgot" to write down FOUR appointments in the books! She diagnosed me with a heart murmur and high blood pressure and sent me for all these tests which were negative and I had three other opinions and they all told me she was wrong. She answers her cell phone in the middle of an appointment and makes you wait because the ton of phone calls she gets are clearly more important than her patients. I strongly advise you find another doctor instead of putting yourself through this.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
