Thank God I didn't experience any of the unfortunate physical after effects of their procedures. HOWEVER, the front desk is EXTREMELY UNPROFESSIONAL and RUDE! Also, I was stuck with the co-pay bill upon finding out MONTHS LATER that the claim was never submitted to my insurance, although I swiped with my HSA card at the time of coming in. ....Annnnnddddd what d'ya know?! The guy (owner of Pilgrim Medical Dr. Campanella) dies October 2017.....

Dr. Campanella did an unsafe procedure on me. I was told it would be safe at24 weeks they just wanted my money cause I was paying cash. Instead off waking up in recovery I woke up coming out of an ambulance going into the ER where I had to have emergency surgery. When I woke I was told a bone from the baby cut my uterus. Ever since this botched procedure I've had to have my other children by C-section. Also he lost my brand new glasses. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone they almost killed me!

The negligence of both this doctor and his staff nearly killed me when I was 17. Zero abortion after-care, no follow-up calls, and when I called their emergency number about severe pain and bleeding, I was told to take more pain medication. Two days later, ER doctors told me Campanella's D&C was incomplete and I would have bled to death within the week. After I recovered I tried to reach out to him several times to discuss what happened and help stop it from happening to anyone else... No response. No human decency. Would never recommend anyone to see this doctor.

3 days after my abortion, I called Dr. Campanella's emergency number with my symptoms of unrelenting painful cramps and bleeding. I was reassured that I was fine and to take more pain medication, they did not even ask me to come in. Two days later I became so scared that I called my own doctor and she told me to go to the emergency room immediately. A series of tests revealed that the procedure Dr. Campanella performed was incomplete and my body was hemorraging and I would have bled to death within the week. After receiving an emergency D&C to save my life, I filed a complaint with the New Jersey Board of Medical Examiners against him. Dr. Campanella never offered any sympathy or compassion towards me during or after the ordeal. I found him extremely unprofessional and if you search his name on google you can find a series of health code violations his clinic has faced along with a malpractice case he lost and was ordered to pay $350,000 in damages. In my opinion he is NOT SAFE.
