List of Raphael S. Paisner's Reviews
Dr Raphael Paisner and staff have been taking care of my 4 kids for years. His experience of 35 years at least gives me the comfort knowing my children are in good hands. He is conservative in his approach yet very thorough and does not prescribe medicine unless necessary. I have a child with autism and he always helped with support. If you need to talk after hours he will phone back immediately and stay on phone as long as you need. The office staff runs like a machine and is happy to accommodate. Its been such a comfort having this Montclair practice so close.
We love taking our daughter to Dr. Paisner. He had a very fact based approach and helps us navigate through many misconceptions to ensure our daughter has the best care possible. The office schedules efficiently and we have never had issues with long waits. They are very responsive to phone calls and working with us. We would recommend Dr. Paisner.
We have been going to him for 10 years. Dr. Paisner found issues with our kids others didnt, collaborated with specialists when we needed it and had wonderful insights to issues our kids have. He can be a bit socially awkward but i would bet that might be because he might have a mild form of autism (i do not know, just guessing from experience). He isnt anxious to give your kid a medication, but address the root of the problem. He is fine with h ok meopathic techniques so long as they are not harmful but will also be honest with you that there is no medical data to support them as a cure. His office is older but i have never seen it dirty. I have always gotten a sick appointment that day. Jis staff has always been wonderful to us.
The doctor is a nice guy but not on point with his expertise. He rarely says anything definitive about any questions asked, such as how many times times should we feed the baby, how much, etc. It's always a shrug with "ehh..." kind of answer. I like a doctor who is more on point and very specific when responding. Also, the front desk women are VERY RUDE and UNPROFESSIONAL. They are not polite and has unethical practice. I requested copies of my son's records and when I went to pick it up, they wanted to charge me $25. However, at the time of my request, the application didn't mention anything about fees. Of course I refused to pay and I didn't, but when I inquired, their response was that they didn't have to tell me up front. Lastly, the office is very dingy. It is outdated with old carpet and dirty furniture. You wouldn't want your child to play there while waiting on the doctor. We are no longer taking my child to this practice.
The MD is Very knowledgable and always trying to improve, however the Front desk ladies/staff need to retire or find other jobs suitable for their attitudes, i.e totally unwelcoming & not children friendly. One can cut through the attitude at the reception with a knife... "symbolical feel". Would not recommend Not even a 1 star deserving.
You want your Doctor to take care of your kids. This group does that. We've never been steered the wrong way or appeased. They provide solid medical treatment in a timely manner. Dr. Paisner's business cards even have the Tylenol dosage for infants on the back. How can you beat that??
Very upset on the way my daughter was treated by him, he’s very old fashioned he doesn’t believe in testing or treating , my daughter has apparently symptoms for the flu, took him twice with no improvement of fewer, coughing and congestion and he didn’t wanted to treat her with a simple antibiotic, my daughter started having chest pain for coughing and when I questioned him about not doing anything for her to feel better he call me later to said “he was thinking that maybe he can put her on an asma treatment to se if she will feel better “ which in reality she hasn’t asma and he didn’t even test her for it. Save a lots of headaches this guy is a waste of time and money . Thank goodness another wise doctor gave me the prescription for an antibiotic and she feel better right away.
This guy is the worst doctor there is for your kid. He doesnt care and he follows 50 year old procesures to evaulate your kids situation. No common sense whatsoever. He caused us a lot of collateral damage by ignoring our son's pneumonia situation. If you dont want your kid to have a life dangering emergency, dont go to this doctor (scammer).
Spent the majority of the appointment with his back turned to me and my child, talking more to the computer screen than to us. Handled my infant's throat culture so roughly that she not only gagged and vomited, but he cut her mouth and she bled as well, then tossed a paper towel at me to clean the blood, vomit and tears with such indifference that I knew he was the wrong doctor for us
We definitely recommend Montclair Pediatrics. I went there as a child, and now both of my children do as well.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
