List of Roderick J. Clemente Md's Reviews
Years ago, I was referred to him for a herniated disc. He gave me what I believe to be a very inappropriate exam. Made me strip to my underwear. Asked is I had bladder problems and told me if I did, that he’d have to examine that area too. There was no one else in the room with me but him. While this was some time ago, I’m still a bit haunted by this experience. I also imagine, that had he actually looked at my MRI scans, he’d have known I had MS.
I am very grateful for Dr. Clemente and his office staff regarding my recent procedure. My surgery was scheduled promptly on the heels of the COVID "lockdown" Office mgr. Susan assisted with many pre-op details; because of her efforts, things went smoothly. DR. Clemente is professional, patient and quite pleasant. He put me as ease before and after my surgery. Highly recommended. Thank you! Sherry

Dr Clemente replaced two vertebra in my cervical spine that were intruding on the spinal cord. Without his work I would have lost the use of my right hand and arm. Not only would that have disabled my work, (Cheese Monger), but it would have been an obstacle to a full life. Now retired, I'm still able to build furniture and cheeseboards. Thanks Doc. Lou A
After a week of insisting that his surgery worked he agreed to do an MRI of my mother who was in extreme amounts of pain. To his surprise he found an infection ravaging her spine. He made himself very scarce after that. My mom died of sepsis (systemic infection) 2 weeks later. Not a nice guy, not a good surgeon. Judge for yourself people.
After performing surgery on my mother she continued to have horrific back pain. Dr Clemente insisted the surgery "did what it was supposed to". After some serious arm twisting, and a week of increasing pain for my mother, he reluctantly had an MRI ordered and promptly discovered an infection had destroyed the surgery. Dr. Clemente was very scarce after that. My mother died about 2 weeks later of sepsis (infection). Bad bedside manner, worse surgeon.
It is rare to find a surgeon that has both terrible surgical skills as well as a horrifying bedside manner. Could not show that he cares less about his patients. Maybe at some point he was good at what he does, but it is time to retire before he hurts more people.
Mom died of sepsis 2 weeks after his failed surgery.
Extremely poor follow up. Extremely uncaring May be a decent surgeon but once the surgery is over he couldn't care less
Dr Clemente contributed to my husbands death, he had major spinal surgery in 2014 and he never fully recovered, we put our faith and trust in him, very arrogant and no bedside manner, no regard for the family who waited for 24 hours in the waiting room to know the outcome of the surgery, thank you Dr Clemente!!!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
