Smart, Friendly, Kind, Helpful, Genuinely interested in patient welfare, Always considerate, Excellent in every respect
Best Dr. ever. Took my 3 kids there, I still go to Dr. Burns. After living in FL for 7 years, went right back to Dr. Burns as soon as I got back to Jersey.
We have been seeing Dr Burns for 15 years. He has been my children’s sole pediatrician and I can’t imagine navigating their childhood illnesses, etc without his patience and wisdom. Nothing ruffles him and he gives every concern I’ve ever had thoughtful consideration and a thoughtful answer. And I have never had a problem getting an appt if there was an urgent matter. Highly recommend.
I love dr burns . He’s a straight shooter and listens to his patients .
The front staff here is great – they always pick up the phone, I always get an appointment, and I've always been able to get in quickly. Dr. Burns, on the other hand, feels like the kind of doctor that wants to retire but can't retire. He's uninterested, never remembers his patients, and uses a computer to diagnose you. The last straw for me was an ER trip that I called the office TWICE about asking for him to call me back to discuss an action plan after such a scary situation.....never got followup call since then. I do not recommend. There are plenty of other doctors (who actually care) in Morris County.
Called on June 2, 2021 and was told that although there is an opening in the schedule tomorrow, Dr. Burns will not see any new patients for the next several weeks. I explained that I have a toe infection that requires urgent attention. I also explained that my wife and children use Dr. Burns (under my insurance no less) so I'm not actually a "new" patient. Zero regard or flexibility was shown. They refused to see me and insisted that no new patients are welcome at this time. None of us will be back.
On time appt. Caring, cocerned, and considerate.
I hate seeing Doctor Burns. I usually go to Doctor Binal in the same office. Doctor Burns is rude every single time I see him. Last night I went in to get my medications refilled. He tried to guilt me into getting a flu shot then spent a good 5 minutes talking about these two "morbidly obese" children he just saw with a skinny parent. Then asked if my parents looked like me considering I'm "so heavy." Honestly, this was the last straw for me. I could be dying there in the waiting room and I would still wait to see ANYONE ELSE because he's rude and now I can't trust that he's not talking about me to other patients. I will strictly be seeing Doctor Binal from now on. I hate leaving bad reviews considering he's the ONLY BAD THING ABOUT THIS PLACE, but it's his name on the company. So it really needs to be said.
Dr. Burns is very attentive and thorough with exams. He has genuine concerns for his patients and patient's family. He goes above and beyond to make sure his patients gets the appropriate treatment. Dr. Burns is also known to have visited his patients in local hospitals to hold their hand and reassure that he is there when needed. He is the only physician I know that would take his personal time to do this. We are very grateful for his kindness and professionalism always. His staff is as professional and kind as he is. 5 stars !
I've been seeing Dr. Burns for over 20 years. When my parents moved into the area I made them dump their primary care physician and go to Dr. Burns. He is smart, genuine, and really listens. He always fits me in when I am sick. You will not encounter a finer representative of the medical profession and just a good guy than Dr. Burns.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
