This comment goes to associate Fidelma H. . She is the best associate we’ve ever met. She tried her best to help us and she is so loving, caring, and thoughtful ! Hope all the associates will be like her!
My daughter 7 yrs was in the ICU for 3 weeks. The nurses, residents and doctors cared for her around the clock, was attentive, patient in answering our questions, dedicated and all very kind. I can not say enough on how grateful we are for the staff which made her feel comfortable and helping with her recovery. Each day they came by with sensory friendly toys from the children’s family unit, case manager, and music therapy as needed. It’s been over 2 months since her release and she had recovered quickly.
Nurses are extremely dedicated
I went with my son he got the worst medical treatment ever as he is special needs nurses didn’t know what to do dropping needles hiring sitters that where of no help he had cought an allergic reaction to a sedative they gave him they said they ran out of stock and came back to the room with aquaphor being that my son does move a lot they didn’t really care to try and get a good vitals they gave my son an antibiotic to treat him for cdif he does. Not have antibiotic I had to pay cash on top of my son trying to take the iv out my sons father had to be there they tried to kick him out called the supervisor and eventually they understand that was at 12.30 then I got tired of waiting in the room while my son was running a fever and I decided to leave they followed us to the elevator with securities didn’t allow us to leave and said if we did they would call cps I stayed at the hospital and then eventually came home only to find cps at my door now cps will close my case because I did nothing wrong it was the negligence of these nurses doctors not all but the ones that did karma doesn’t skip anyone by far the worst hospital experience I have ever had to put my 4 year old asd son through
This review is based on a recent sleep study I had done there for my son who is 4 (almost) 5 years old. Our appointment started at 7:30 PM. We had a little trouble finding where we were supposed to go. Luckily, we were assisted by a helpful nurse in the emergency department, and found where we were going. We were greeted in by a nurse named Kathy. She had a cold demeanor. Not the type of personality I would expect in someone guiding a nervous child through an experience such as this. She seemed to ignore the fact that he was already exhausted, and spoke curtly to him about what he could expect to be attached to him during this procedure. Without patience, or compassion. Meh, I can live with that. Speaking frankly doesn't create a negative experience. I'm merely setting the scene. The sleep study was underway. When I had to go to the bathroom beforeI laid down for bed, I went to find Kathy. To let her know I needed to leave the room, as the bathroom was not located in the room where my son was sleeping. She told me with a very condescending attitude that it would be my job to make sure that my son did not disturb the wires and sensors attached to him. That had nothing to do with my request. I was only asking if she could mind him closely for a moment while I used the restroom. And if he woke up and no one was there, he may become panicked. Clearly, she wanted me to know she had no interest in helping me. Let's now fast forward to the morning. I was told the night before that wake-up would be 5:20am. As they would need the room to for other patients who would be coming in. At 5:05 I went out to the hallway to let Kathy know that I was going to begin the process of waking my son up. So that he wouldn't be awoken by the removal of wires and sensors and had time to get his bearings. I walked back into the room, and was followed by Kathy, who I guess determined that, that was not important to her, and she would begin removing the wires anyway. Completely ignoring what I had said. This greatly upset my son, and caused him distress. Now, at the last two adhered sensors, she (once again condescendingly) that she would be leaving the last two (most difficult) sensors for me to do. Because "they were the worst" and I guess $12,000 doesn't pay for the job to be completed by a professional. I kindly asked her to complete the process for us. Now that that's done, I'm reminded that the room will need to be cleaned by the crew and we needed to get our items together. Which I had already begun doing. Kathy entered the room again, 1-2 minutes later, to remind me we needed to leave right away. To which I replied, we're doing the best we can. Once more, Kathy entered the room. This time while we were brushing our teeth and were completely packed, to demand that it was time to leave. I laughed. As if we wanted to stay there one moment longer than we had to. As if rushing us out the door, shortly after the ordeal we had been to, was at the top of the priority list. I understand that laughing in her face was the wrong way to handle it. I had a toothbrush in my mouth, and was literally flabbergasted that she was so insistent. She left the room, only to walk back in moments later. This time, threatening to call security on me and my son if we didn't leave immediately. Security, for a father and his son, who had just paid $12k to have this study done, and were doing their level best to leave as soon as we could. Kathy should overall be ashamed of her bedside manor. Her cold, and cantankerous demeanor made what was already a difficult experience, that much worse. I can't say I would recommend this facility for sleep studies. Aside from the fact that they're one of the only facilities available who won't make you wait 12 month to be seen.
Nice waiting area and cafe. Everyone on staff there was friendly and helpful.
My son was treated here. He was given the emergency treatment as fast as clinically possible. He was diagnosed with possible meningitis. This fast treatment alowed for his recovery in a few days. They did not have the best " parents" bedside manners. I did not care, they took care of him effectively. I questioned everything they did. I asked them to contact CHOP for a second opinion. They did that. At the end they knew what they were doing. Thank you.
Really nice people and professional skills with kind heart. Thank you so much for take care of my baby in midnight.
