List of Jason E Lowenstein's Reviews
I had a complicated spinal fusion revision and Dr Lowenstein & staff were professional and gave me the best care possible. I won't trust any other surgeon after my experience with them.
I’v had both lumbar and cervical spine surgeries done by Dr. Lowenstein. For both surgeries he has taken his time discussing and answering questions my husband and I had. He and his staff have been amazing throughout.
I was extremely pleased with my experience in this office. The staff is lovely and more than willing to help with every step of the process. I was apprehensive about getting surgery for my back pain, Dr. Lowenstein provided me with alternatives and then we eventually decided to move to surgery as the final solution after trying physical therapy. I am now pain free and incredibly grateful to the entire staff for all their support along the this experience.
Dr. Lowenstein and his staff are amazing. As a result of my great experience I recommended Dr. Lowenstein to everyone who is in need of his services / specialty.
I can't say enough about Dr. Lowenstein, he gave me back my ability to stand and walk. I was not living and now I am, I have my life back. He and his are caring and compassionate and take time with each patient.
Our family could not be anymore blessed to have Dr. Jason Lowenstein take care of our daughter. In 2019 Dr. Lowenstein did spinal surgery (Fusion) on our daughters neck. Now 4 years later she is doing awesome. She is feeling stronger, and so much better than she had. I would and do recommend Dr. Lowenstein. Thank you so much for taking care of our daughter, and being the best Spinal Surgeon.
Two former failed spinal fusion surgeries thankfully led me to Dr. Lowenstein, who, after assessing my lumbar images, agreed to remove broken hardware, perform a third fusion and properly decompress nerves that should have been decompressed during my prior surgery. He also removed scar tissue and engaged in a thorough, comprehensive assessment of the area in question to avoid future complications. It is often the case that neurosurgeons or orthopedic surgeons do not treat patients who have previously undergone spinal surgery by a different physician. Dr. Lowenstein was the only surgeon of many consulted who immediately identified the issues that required attention and became the third surgeon to perform the surgery and after-care that gave me back my life. While it was an eight year journey of endless suffering, I am incredibly grateful to Jason Lowenstein and his team for finally fixing me. The trip from Arizona to New Jersey was definitely worth it. I highly recommend Dr. Lowenstein and his impressive expertise.
I am a 67 year old man who was diagnosed with scoliosis immediately after junior high school. I wore a brace all through high school and was released by my doctor at the time when my bones all hardened. I've had annoying, but not debilitating back pain, off and on, almost all of my adult life. In the early 2000's pain levels increased and lasted longer before returning to normal. By 2013, I needed spinal fusion to reduce severe sciatic pain caused by disc troubles at L4-L5. Fusion at that level eliminated the pain, but it was noted at the time that my "S" curve scoliosis was progressing. I was referred to Dr. Lowenstein at that time who explained the few options available to me for treatment. Spinal fusion surgery seemed to be the only answer. While on vacation in November 2021, I found I could not walk anywhere without stopping, sitting, and stretching to relieve sciatic pain. I knew it was time for surgery. I got through the winter of 2021-2022 with lots of physical therapy. Surgery with The best thing is that there is no back pain anymore. I am now over 1 year out from my surgery and feeling great. With the fusion that I have there are some bending limitations and many new ways to accomplish personal tasks using dressing and hygiene aids that extend my reach. All in all, when looking for a surgeon to perform this kind of procedure, you want to find the most skilled and experienced surgeon you can. Dr. Lowenstein is that surgeon. I have no regrets in choosing Dr. Lowenstein.
Almost a year ago I was in such agonizing pain that I couldn't function on a day to day basis. I consulted with Dr. Lowenstein in May of 2022 & had ACDF surgery on my C4-5 in June. The surgery, recovery & follow-ups have all gone perfectly and I'm back to living life comfortably & happily. I highly recommend him as a surgeon.
Dr. Lowenstein always takes time to discuss my care and treatment plan. I feel totally confident in his care. His PA Brianne gave such excellent care post op in the hospital. She made me feel like I was important enough to take the time to talk, review care and answer all questions - she was so very caring. All the staff at The Advance Spine Center are kind, helpful and caring.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
