John Connor's Online Review Report Card

Parents find a different doctor please!! I want to start by saying I have never written a good or bad review for a doctor but my experience here was so bad I feel like I have to. The only reason i made an appointment with Dr. Connor is because he came highly recommended by our pediatrician. He has zero bedside manner. He barely even looked me in the eyes as we were talking and rushed us through the whole appointment. I cannot believe he is a pediatric Dr. My biggest problem was that he was annoyed that my son was taking a little too long to pull his pants down for an exam. He even raised his voice to him! My poor son was so uncomfortable looking over at me. I just kept telling him its ok just get through this and do what the dr says I spent the rest of the day apologizing to my boy and promising him that we will never go back there. I'm actually traumatized because I wish I spoke up on my son's behalf but I was so shocked at how awful he was I just wanted it to be over and get out of there. I will be speaking to our pediatrician to tell her our experience and maybe they will stop recommending him. Run far away from this place!!! Find someone else. I don't want another parent to go through what we went through.

I should have read the review below before agreeing with my son’s neurologist to see Dr.Connor’s practices. Although, we’re still going to try and hopefully I will be able to update this review later but for now if I could go back I would NOT recommend this practice. The staff so far from this location to the James Street location, has been for lack of better words; unorganized, and ill-mannered. Ariel from James Street is so far the only exception because of his joyful nature, but in the long run he did mutilate my son’s peepee and then politely says he can’t complete the test and ushers us out with no real direction on what was actually happening, didn’t even tell me if we should continue giving antibiotics, I had to call and wait for them to call me back to where I got a nurse who knew nothing of what I needed. And when we went to James Street for that test with Ariel, we were placed in a testing room that was in the back of the practice and was like a storage office with random machine parts placed inside. It was a mess! So after that we waited two days before we heard anything from the practice, Nikki then calls, gives no direction on what is happening, what’s going on, and places me on hold immediately for 3 minutes to where I hung up because come on, really, then an Alexis calls back to make an appointment to where I mention how disrespectful that was and she treated me like she was offended for Nikki! So I explained that I’m frustrated and she scuffed at me saying she needed to place me on hold to make the appointment; to where I ask for a call back for when they actually find a date. She called back with a date and we still have no direction on what’s even happening on that appointment day. I guess we shall see. Review Edited: From our recent experience, this practice is oblivious. They didn’t even let the doctor know before we came back for the appointment what was going on, complete waste of time for him to refer us to a Childrens hospital, “they have smaller equipment to handle infants”. Why are we even here then?

Awful experience with our 2 month old. Dr. Connor didnt take the time to explain the tests he was sending us for, gave zero feedback on an ultrasound that was already performed, was in and out in 5 minutes for a consultation. He told us we can wait a month for the other tests but at the front desk, he was yelling from his office they needed to be done ASAP with zero explanation why. His office staff gave us a follow up appt date and time but it was never scheduled on their part. They kept calling our baby a “he” even when corrected that she is a female. The NP basically shamed me for having the test done at another hospital system. She documented notes inaccurately in the chart regarding phone calls- because she didnt want to document she spoke to my husband who blasted her for our awful experience so far. We had ONE appointment and there was so many things gone wrong from administration, lack of communication, not explaining anything, shaming us. Will never go back.

Dr. Connor and his staff were amazing! The procedure went as perfectly as planned and my son (10 months) was as good as new within days. I would recommend Dr. Connor to anyone.

Both of my sons needed several surgeries throughout their lives. My youngest was only 2 years old when he had his first. Both kids did really well. As nervous as we were, everything went according to plan and came out as expected. You can hardly tell the surgeries were done. We were blown away with the precision on such a tiny area. Surgical teams were amazing too! They took such good care of the boys to keep them as calm as they could. The office is very busy and Dr. Conner's schedule is always packed, but we can see why after 4 surgeries and 2 happy customers later. The only suggestion that I would make is that they need to add another doctor/staff to the practice to alleviate some of the pressure of this ever growing practice. It would better serve the patients that want and need more attention.

He was recommended by our pediatrician to get his opinion for our son as we were suspicious of cryptorchidism (undescended testicle). Our son was fussy and after asking bunch of questions, he asked us to undress him. Once we put him on the table and trying to keep him calm by showing him some popular songs, the doctor grabbed and pushed his stomach area so HARD that he couldn't breath for a few seconds (imagine he is trying to cry but no voice is coming out and his face turning RED) without telling us that he is going to do it. We keep wondering why such a physician is a pediatric urologist as he clearly doesn't know how to handle a kid. we were so disappointed that decided not to follow up with him no matter how good he may be.

Dr Connor came highly recommended by my pediatrician. Very brief visit with little explanation. Test requests came in the mail with the wrong diagnosis code. Christina was not only misinformed as to my daughters medical history but both rude and confrontational. She eventually agreed to remove the term congenital from my daughters medical record based on my medical history after seeking Dr Connor's approval (i have the ultrasounds to prove my daughters condition resolved before birth). I called the next day to have the diagnosis code revised on the test requisition and was told she would not change the diagnosis code on my daughters script but couldn't tell me why. She soon followed with Dr Connor said you're too much trouble and that i was fired as a client. I said I would appreciate a call from the doctor to explain why they thought that was the correct diagnosis and she said he has no intention of calling me back but she'll give him the message. His bio on your web page says, "Dr. Connor’s guiding principle is to treat his patients as if they were his own children." I sure hope he treats his kids better than he treated mine.

Dr. Connor performed surgery on my son when he was one year old. My son is 12 now and all is well thanks to Dr. Connor. Thank you very much Dr. Connor. As I told you at our final meeting, I can't thank you enough.

Unprofessional staff. Very small office which is cramped and stuffy. Dr. Connor met us for 2 minutes. Didn’t meet us for second appt at all. Nurse practitioner told us the news our daughter would need a catheter the rest of her life. The tech and urologist who performed the VUD inserted the catheter in the wrong area. Kept it there the entire exam. I got a second opinion, and the new urologist found the mistakes. Second VUD was clear! Daughter does NOT need a catheter nor life long meds. The domino affect of negligence and ill practice is astounding! I already called the office to discuss. The OM pandered and then never got back to me after I left 2 more voicemails. But THANKS, Amy!
