Emergency dept short of beds , short on staff and makes patients wait long periods of time without any communication

During a scheduled C-section, my best friend’s spinal block was improperly administered. Due to lack of proper care, she felt everything through the c-section. It is evident that her concerns and immense discomfort was dismissed until after her son was born. Unfortunately, we cannot help but feel that her treatment was influenced by her race. Her pain was downplayed, her voice ignored, and she was left feeling invisible during one of the most vulnerable times in her life. I sincerely hope the hospital takes this seriously, reflects on how patients of color are treated, and makes meaningful changes to ensure no one else goes through what my friend endured.

The entire Emergency Room personnel took every effort to relieve patients and families stress.

We are from out of town and this is the first we ever went to Morristown Hospital. I don’t care how long the wait took. The hospitality and the nurses are the best in the business. Their interpersonal communications with my dad was nothing but spectacular. I want to give a shoutout to some special nurses and assistants there! Thank you to Nurse: Eliaza, Kay, Tomika, Kylie and Joanna. Shout out to Brittany for the medical assistance as well. I’m hoping to find these very special people and give them the kudos they need after all these days spent there with him. Word cannot express what they have done for my family. My wife and I recently welcome our first child, a beautiful baby girl, to the world. As first-time parents, there are so many emotions and fears, regardless of how irrational, that come and go. I could not have been more pleased with the experience we had at Morristown. From initial triage, to L&D, to postpartum, each and every nurse went above and beyond. We were consoled during the scary moments and able to share laughs during the happy. The entire experience was so, so fantastic that I wish I could befriend the entire nursing staff. A few specific shout outs to the rockstar nursing staff: L&D: Anna and Michelle Postpartum: Jocelyn, Daniela and Rachel Thank you ladies for everything you do! You are walking blessings!

Excellent Hospital, emergency room is very busy. Took me in quickly. Put monitor on me. The Doctors are fantastic. Very organized, considerate Nurses, employees are always nice. I highly recommend this medical center.

Excellent Service at Ripple Cancer Center --a shut out to Renee Trambert RN who was so empathetic and reassuring and Dr. Christine Menendez who was competent, intelligent and gave me minute to minute description of what was going on! The xray technician was average --she at one point forgot to tell me I could "breath now" after I was instructed to hold my breath during the X-ray -she said she told me --but I didn't hear her and felt like she was blaming me lol -that could improve

my son had a surgery this week. post op the care was awful. he asked for pain meds and didn’t get them for 3 hours. he was in excruciating severe pain and they were walking around laughing and talking and he’s crying uncontrollably. Morristown Hospital has gone down the shitter

Their incompetence put my daughter in the ICU after birth. Thank God my daughter turned out alright and without complications—but guess who ended up with the extra ICU bills? The system desperately needs an overhaul. As an update, my wife and I were misled by the hospital staff into believing they practiced all-natural birth methods and delayed cord clamping. But after the birth, when they couldn’t get an oxygen reading for a full minute and finally saw 85%, the doctor looked at me like my child was about to suffer brain damage and insisted the cord needed to be cut immediately. It's unbearable how incompetent medical staff have become. Or was it deliberately done to make more money for the hospital??????!!!! It took me less than 10 minutes of research to find out that newborns get oxygen from the placenta after birth. Oxygen saturation levels in newborns aren't expected to be above 90% in the first 5 minutes. From a medical journal: "Targeting 90–95% SpO₂ in the first 10 minutes is considered appropriate, but it’s not expected to be above 90% in the first 5 minutes." When the cord is cut prematurely, up to one-third of the baby’s blood volume—along with critical nutrients and stem cells—is lost. This increases the child’s risk of mental health issues and a compromised immune system later in life. I still can’t wrap my head around how I was pressured into thinking that immediate cord cutting was medically necessary. I’ll say this: if I ever have to go to the hospital again, I will absolutely do my own research beforehand—especially if it involves Morristown Memorial. They need to fix their act. Yesterday.

I love this hospital however the last two times I had to go to the ER I had to wait 12 plus hours for a doctor because there's no separate clinic now for emergency room. This is totally ridiculous that if you have an emergency you go to the ER and it takes 12 hours for an ER doctor. I was born in this hospital I've had several surgeries in this hospital and the staff is wonderful however you got to get your act together with the ER room 12 plus Hours come on
