I had great experiences with this clinic. Dr. Check is highly knowledgeable, thorough, and has a wonderful bedside manner. I appreciate that he provides research articles to patients for further reading about their treatment. I feel like I am in good hands here. Everyone—from the front desk, billing, phlebotomists, embryologists, doctors to nurses—were professional and empathetic as I went through my first IVF cycle. They really helped minimize the stress out of what is typically a stressful situation. Andi, the anesthesiologist, was wonderful, too. Dr. Sobel did my retrieval and transfer and he was great. Compassionate doctor who truly cares about his patients. My only complaint is it’s hard to get in touch with billing. Once I was able to speak with them, they were prompt and took care of things quickly, but it was a bit stressful trying to get with billing in time to start a cycle.
I had a great experience with Dr Check & the entire staff. I have 2 children via IVF because of Dr Check & all the staff. It is very overwhelming & emotional experience & the staff was great at explaining everything. I recommended good friend & she had a great experience as well! Twins boy & girl. Would highly recommend!
As I’m reading the reviews of this practice I can’t help but wonder why the administration of Cooper would not have made drastic changes for improvement The reoccurring theme is the rudeness of the office staff I have a niece going for treatment and first hand experienced the brutal rudeness and nastiness of the office staff My God When you think of the purpose of this practice how could this be acceptable I will make a bold statement about Cooper and I can substantiate every single experience The doctors are all wonderful but it seems from my experience that Cooper pays a sign on bonus for hiring nasty rude and unprofessional office staff No it’s not an isolated incident it’s across the board What a shame for doctors who see patients and are excellent at what they do and have to put up with the worst possible staff It has to be the administration that is responsible for staffing It cannot be a coincidence that every single office has some of the worst Another bold statement. If Cooper got rid of the outright incompetent, grossly nonfunctional PATENT RELATIONS STAFF I can guarantee there will be drastic improvement Most calls to that useless group has to do with staff issues and they WILL NOT EVER RETURN CALLS. They are the epitome of rude After years of this nonsense anyone would have to conclude that if office staff knew that the people entrusted with overseeing their behavior were responsive they would never behave the way they do I’m almost tempted to call them all out but it won’t be fair to the wonderful doctors Go ahead Cooper and write the patronizing comments that you’re glad this was brought to your attention We all know that’s as much effort you will give
Very disappointed with how we (my wife and I) were treated. Staff was rude and would not give us answers on honest questions. My wife was already very emotional and the employees here only made it much worse!
Having experienced the level of extremely antiquated instruction for IVF and the arrogant attitude by the office manager, I would highly recommend not even a consultation with this practice. The office manager is trashy and rude. Blames the patient for misinformation from her staff and poor communication as well as judgemental. All files are handled with outdated practices using paper receipts, forms etc. Instructions are given verbally with the assumption patients know about IVF drugs and administration and the nurses/ staff are too impatient to answer questions. The entire office is dirty and the rooms are cramped. The message totes compassionate care, but the staff is anything but compassionate. Experienced very uncomfortable situations with Dr. Check that left my husband and I feeling violated. In addition, Dr. Check is not involved in the IVF process after consultation. Cost is the same, if not more, than standard IVF procedures. I don't have any faith in the nurses administering proper medication dosage for a successful IVF cycle as the disorganization of this practice is truly unprecedented so much so that the proper amount of medication was not ordered for my cycle and had to reorder medication from the pharmacy numerous times that were time sensitive therefore, resulting in trips to a pharmacy not anywhere near my home or office taking time away from work and family. General lack of competency and compassion made an already stressful situation much worse. Go literally anywhere else.
My little princess would not be here today if it wasn’t for Dr. Check & his staff. After RMA told me I was in menopause & I had a 1% chance of conceiving, I found Dr. Check and saw him for a 2nd opinion. After meeting with him and having a really in depth workup, he told me he was confident he could help me get pregnant. He asked me to be patient while we got my body back on track since I had not had a period in months & my hormone levels were not good. I was 40 when I saw him. His protocol worked and 8 months later I was pregnant.
When my husband and I started trying to get pregnant, we never understood why we were having no success. After going through our first fertility clinic and becoming pregnant, I had a horrific miscarriage and was treated like I was just a number. Then, I was referred by a friend to Dr. Check and at our very first consultation, Dr. Check was able to tell my husband and I why we weren't having success. Dr. Check and his staff came up with a game plan that was tailored to our specific needs. I had two unsuccessful IUI'S and finally went through the IVF process which was emotionally tough on me. I did become pregnant but I sadly lost the pregnancy. The doctors and nurses at this fertility clinic care very deeply about the women going through IVF and other procedures and want to make sure we all are taking care of ourselves mentally and emotionally because dealing with fertility issues is very difficult and they understand that. I have faith that Dr. Check, the doctors, nurses and their entire staff will help me and my husband conceive our miracle baby! I wouldn't go anywhere else. If you need assistance, you are in great hands here!
I'm beyond grateful for the opportunity to work with Dr. Jerome Check, and his compassionate, dedicated team. I am a new patient ~ traveling from California to continue my IVF journey, after 3 years, 20+ egg retrieval attempts, and 2 failed transfers at another clinic. I have interviewed at least 10 of the top doctors around the country ~ and Dr. Check's reputation is unparalleled for difficult cases. The waitlist for an appointment was well worth it... I finally consulted with Dr. Check just before Thanksgiving, and was so grateful for a glimmer of hope, based on science and his experience. He patiently answered all of my questions, and followed up our call with enough research papers to fill a book, about other women in their 40s he was able to help become pregnant with their own eggs... even DOR cases. While I am just getting started with Cooper Institute, I feel I am in the best hands. His nurses, billing, andrology department... EVERY single member of his team has been kind, helpful and competent, as I begin moving all of my medical records to their office. It's not easy to coordinate logistics as a travel patient, but Cooper Institute has been wonderful every step of the way. I hope to update this review as another *miracle* patient success story... for now, I feel confident that Dr. Check & Co are my best and final chance for getting pregnant with my own eggs. Best of luck to every other woman on this difficult journey...
Hey ladies. I literally just started but I wanted to give a quick review.. If you’re thinking about booking an appointment even if you’re out of state do it !! Dr. Check took TIME and answered every question I had even if I asked twice for understanding, he gave me more clarity and help in one visit than other doctors gave me in years, and he was compassionate and not only gave me hope but backed that hope with science so I didn’t feel like I’m being sold a dream. Also he wasn’t quick to rush to IVF. I’m very happy I made that appointment. He’s really worth all the hype !!
Dr Check and his staff were so amazing. I can’t thank them enough. He is the best! The nurses were amazing and always encouraging. He really takes time out with his patients and tests for things other clinics do not. I read all his studies on the plane to go see him. After two IVFs with Cooper (2 failed at a previous clinic) I delivered a healthy baby boy and we are so grateful.

All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process.
