When a patient with a history of melanoma begins to show signs of a metastasis, you would think the doctor would test & treat immediately for melanoma. Instead Dr Abbasi said to wait. We waited & waited until it was too late. We lost our dad to melanoma. Other doctors recommended starting treatment immediately but he said to wait. Wish we went with the more knowledgeable doctor.

After a patient with a history of melanoma twice starts to show signs of a metastasis, you would think that would be the first thing the doctor would look to and treat immediately. Instead Dr Abbasi waited & waited and it was too late. Other doctors recommended treating right away but he said to wait. Treatment could have started immediately but instead We lost our dad to melanoma.

Dr. Abbasi became my mom’s oncologist when she was taken into the emergency department one night in Morristown. She was previously a patient in the Sloan Kettering Memorial Center (which we had a terrible experience with) and after that night we transferred her care to this doctor. Right from the beginning, he showed care and interest. He reviewed my moms care thoroughly and told us about all the options she had, while being honest and realistic. I think he went above and beyond if any doctor’s responsibilities and even checked up on the family several times after my mom passed away. For anyone going through this horrible disease, Dr. Abbasi will be with you every step of the way in any way he can. Even my aunt who previously had breast cancer was switching to him after the experience we had with him, and I recommend him to the rest of you! I know nothing can make this disease “easier” but having him is a doctor at least gave us some ease in knowing that there was a competent doctor taking care of my mom in any way that he can.

I have never met a physician who from interview through completion of visit made you feel so comfortable and at ease, taking all the time needed to discuss any questions regarding problems, test results, fears, anxieties, etc. During a recent bone biopsy, which I was worried about due to pain, he assured me that there would be none and even showed me a video of him performing same on one of his patients. There was absolutely NO PAIN and he and his wonderful assistant Mari, spoke and walked me through the entire 10 minute procedure. He has up to date modern equipment for testing blood work and can immediately advise results. Dr. Abbasi makes you feel like he is family and even gave me his cell phone number in case I needed him in an emergency.

I cannot rate Dr Abbasi highly enough. He literally saved my life and kept me going throughout my cancer treatment. He is amazingly knowledgeable and kind. I totally recommend him.

Dr. Abbasi is compassionate and thoughtful. The only problem is the waiting room time. It can be long.

I've been seeing Dr. Abbasi for over 7 years, and I absolutely adore him. He truly cares about me and wants to do what is best for me. A few years ago I had a decision to make and he actually attended a conference (overnight!) just to get information to help me make my decision. Highly recommend.

Dr. Abbasi takes away the fear through his extraordinary compassion, calm demeanor, and state-of-the art treatment protocols. He takes time to answer questions and explains treatment options clearly. He is intelligent, kind, and caring. If you have to go through cancer, there is no better doctor to have at your side.

I count myself so very blessed and grateful to have been under Dr. Abbasi's care over this past year. He's simply the best!

I highly recommend Dr. Abbasi. He is extremely knowledgeable in the most up to date treatments. During office visits he takes the time to listen to my concerns, answer questions and will make recommendations to other specialists as needed. He cares very genuinely for his patients and their families. What I appreciate most about Dr. Abbasi is that he treats me like a person and not just another patient or number.
