How could you live with yourself putting a patient my mother through something so horrible tried four times to put a back stimulator inside her why four times after the first time why didn't you just stop or even the second time and then formed a hematoma and then told my sister that you felt like throwing up. As your also telling her our mother is in ICU now almost paralyzed. Then make one follow-up and she came in on a stretcher and you said oh I thought you'd be walking by now. You are pathetic you shouldn't even be a doctor.

From my initial visit, he described what he could accomplish to repair my spine. After the surgery, I am in my 3rd day and it keeps getting better. No pain...

Dr. Meagher didn't look at my ct scan images. Without looking at images he told me there is nothing he can do for me. I should just treat the pain. Looked right in my eyes and lied through his teeth. So I went and found a REAL NEUROSURGEON that DID look at images. I was immediately diagnosed with a spine and spinal cord problem that is extremely dangerous and I'm recovering from surgery right now. Thank God there are a few good professional doctors out there still with compassion. Dr. Richard j Meagher is NOT one of them. He should be in politics, not medical!

Disrespectful and dismissive of patient concerns. Told patient he was going to stay overnight in the hospital, but had him discharged an hour after surgery. There is more that points to both arrogance and dehumanization of patients. There were some real, valid medical issues the doctor ignored, and then scoffed at when reminded about them. Best bit of luck I've ever had was reuniting with RJ when I had to go to the ER with what turned out to be a serious spine problem. He had been one of my science students when in 7th grade. Thats another story for another day. I had suffered with terrible pain for over a month while several doctors tried to treat me. Finely one of them told me to go to the ER. Dr. Meagher happened to be there at the time. Long story short, I was in the operating room within 2 hours. Several hours later I woke up in a room and any trace of the pain was gone. I had suffered with it for a month. Running into Dr . Meagher was the best piece of luck I've ever had. I cant say enough.

I found him to very good at what he does. He also is unique because he has compassion and genuinely cares for his patients. I would absolutely recommend to for his skill and humanity.
