I recently accompanied an elderly patient for his visit. I was never so shocked and unnerved by the total lack of communication with the patient. The entire visit consisted of the doctor dictating from paper work to the assistant with his back to the patient the entire time. To add another insult he was dressed in shrubs with his undershirts exposed. The poor patient sat quietly for 30 minutes and was address for 1 minute to tell him about a future procedure he was recommending. This was the worst exposure of patient/doctor lack of decency and caring I have ever experienced. God help our poor seniors with this HEARTLESS care.

Dr girgis was very knowledgeable, listened to my concerns, polite and very thorough….. I would recommend him to anyone that has had any issues with the heart. He makes you feel very comfortable asking questions and schedules patients appointments giving ample time…

Dr. Girgis has been my cardiologist for quite some time. He is extremely professional, caring and thorough. He always takes the time to explain any procedures I have and the results. I am totally satisfied with the excellent care he has provided to me over the years, and I trust him completely.

Had echo today. Love my cardiologist but the people who do the echo's are unfriendly every time. It is disappointing to me unfortunately even if it is a new person they just go thru the motions. The only conversation is take off top clothing and put paper one on with open in front. Then they tell you lie on the table. Then the tell you to lie on your back. They give you paper towels to wipe gel off. That is the extent of conversation. I have had my share of echo's but I always feel the person is a robot and exits the room asap as if you are just one more echo. They lack any personality, projecting kindness, lack in telling you what they are doing and why.

This doctor is dangerous! Wanted to implant a monitor in my chest after reviewing 4 cardiograms his staff did in a period of 3 weeks, saying "beautiful" as he reviewed them. He then looked at the reports from a monitor he had me wear 24 hrs/day for 10 days and said "it showed nothing remarkable." The two ultrasounds he had done we perfect. Then he dropped the bomb of wanting to put a monitor in my chest and I would transmit details every night. I was floored and asked why that was necessary. His response was that since I'm diabetic (well controlled) I'm at higher risk for a stroke or clot. Somehow the 10s of millions of Americans manage without this! I quickly put on my coat to leave. He suddenly remembered that he hadn't examined me and whipped out his stetescope to listen, saying it wasn't necessary for me to take my coat off! When I saw what he billed insurance for his tests and two visits I understood how lucrative his "necessary" interventions are. Stay away!
