List of Alexander T. Lalos's Reviews
Dr. Lalos has been unbelievable during my wife transplant
Dr. Lalos is very thorough and direct-he takes time to explain and answer questions which for me is important as I seem to have many. He is encouraging with positive news and compassionate with serious issues. I feel fortunate to have been referred to him-
Dr. Lalos is one of the best doctors there are. He really cares about curing people and he cured me of hepatitis C around 2014 and I am still clear of it. He worked out of Scranton at the time and I was very blessed to have him in our area.
When my husband was in the hospital I had concerns and called to speak to the Dr. He called me back a short time later and talked to me about my husband's illness. And then later that day called me back again to discuss further treatment options and information. I couldn't have asked for a better Dr to care for my husband! (Staff and Punctuality given 3's only because we were not office patients).
I saw Dr. Lalos and he was very arogant. He did not seem interested in anything that I had to say regarding my future health. All it seemed like to me is that he wanted to be the one to do any testing/procedures, did not want to talk to any of my other doctors about my care. Very hard time trying to get his office to coordinate any information with any of my other doctors. No call backs, no information, staff is incredibly rude and unprofessional. Also, he was more than 20 min late for my appointment with no apology. I would not recommend going to this doctor for even a band aid. As i asked questions, he was rushing through the appointment and did not really answer anything. Did I say arogant? If I could make my overall rating a negative, I would.
Office staff is horrible, they don't answer the phones & don't call back when you leave a message. Dr. is arrogant.
Husband diagnosed with ulcerative coilitis. Lalos very disinterested in keeping disease under control. Told my husband he just has to learn to live with complications (incontience, abdominal crampind, general feeling of malaise, urgency, etc...)Rude and abrupt when asked questions regarding illness.
Staff is more than ignorant. They are mean and rude. There is absolutely NO follow-up. If you don't call, even if the results are bad, they don't call you. And then when you do call, they are so rude!! I would NEVER use this group for anything. All they are concerned with is making money and NOT the patient's well-being.
This group is more concerned about making money than the welfare of the patients. They do NOT return phone calls. And when you call, they are extremely rude. They don't even call w/ bad results!! After telling me I have to see a surgeon, they told me that the doctor doesn't need to see you again! Unbelievable. I regret going to this group and wasting my money.
Office staff does not answer the phone even when another medical center is calling. Their policy states that they have 24 hours to get back to you. Situation. . . My wife goes to lab to get blood work. Lab calls Dr. Lalos’s office to clarify DX code on lab request. The lab is unable to talk to a person at Dr. Lalos office and is forwarded to an answering system. Wife drives back home and calls, leaves a message and waits for a call back. The receptionist Sandra, calls back and rudely, can’t understand why the lab needs more codes. I calmly asked the receptionist if I can speak with the office manager. She forwards me to the office manager, Ellen, voice mail. Minutes later, the receptionist, not the office manager, calls us back and said “Dr. Lalos has changed his mind does not want to treat my wife." I said “thank you” and hung up. My wife and I are new to the WB/Scranton area. She has an advanced Hepatitis C. Could you imagine that this actually happened?

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
