Dr. Camerota operated on me for extensive hernia repair. He was all one could ask for in a medical professional: Extremely competent; communicates well and courteously; answers all questions and has a calming manner in his relationship with his patients. As I am now up and about and healed, what more could I ask for - oy, yeah. His staff is helps patients with information and suggestions, etc. - a set of traits not often found in medical offices these days.
I got a hernia fixed with Dr. Camerota's help. Fixing worked out as good as I could imagine. U should check in here if u are thinking of a hernia fix and ur insurance covers this option. Robot surgery seems very good for a less complicated healing time and operation was in the morning and out in the afternoon on surgery day. I got by with simple over the counter pain medicine for a few days and was back to work at the work from home desk job in two days. Remarkable in my understanding. One week later I moved some snow and could sit up and out of bed very well. Two weeks later, the slice spots were almost all healed and I was shoveling snow. Waited three weeks though till some heavier lifting just to play it safe. I read about robot surgery on many hernia websites and searched for a hernia doctor in the insurance company doctor finder. Scheduling at website was easy, but u need to use the real phone to communicate with the office. No text app.
This was my second surgery by Dr. Camerota. He removed my gallbladder 15 years ago, and now surgically repaired an abdominal hernia. I returned to Dr. Camerota due to his excellence in procedures, using laparoscopic and robotic techniques. He explains all procedures with a common language that the patient can understand with the first visit, pre-surgery, as well as post surgery recovery. He is an excellent surgeon and a professional individual.
What can I say about Dr Camerota and his staff except excellent excellent excellent. No one would look forward to the types of surgical procedures I had, but if anyone made you feel confident comfortable and well cared for it was the office of Dr Camerota and his assistants Richa and Hazima. They were with me every step of the way answering questions, I'm sure I asked repeatedly. This is a wonderful practice that I would highly recommend. The pre and post-op care I received at St Peters was extraordinary. Thank you to all.

Had a rather large hernia operated on three days ago. Never used any pain killers and 3 days later I’m almost back to normal. Dr Camerota did a fantastic job. Also , I can’t praise enough the entire staff I encountered at St. Peter’s Hospital.
He operated on me twice, in 2011 and on Sept. 24, 2019. Dr. Camerota is an excellent surgeon . He was recommended to me by my primary doctor . Highly recommend Irit Harchol RN
Had a surgery done for Umbilical Hernia. Dr. Camerota was very helpful and explained the procedure in detail. Also office staff is very knowledgeable and helpful.
Dr. Andrew Camerota was very professional, explained what was going on with Ralph J. Casciano. I am very pleased with him, his staff, and would highly recommend him as a surgeon. He did Laparoscopic sigmoid colectomy on my husband and saved his life. We are so great full that he was Ralph's doctor. He took the time to explain the surgery in detail to us.
Dr. Camerota I would recommend highly, he is very informative. Explain everything in full doesn’t leave anything out. Has your best interest as to what is need. He made me feel very comfortable and safe with my procedure that was needed. His whole staff was great as well. I can’t say enough
Dr.AndrewCamerta is a very good doctor and excellent surgeon.HE has a very good bedside manner answers all questions and never got annoyed.I wouldn"t hesitate to use him again.
Dr Camerota performed Laparoscopy gallbladder and hernia repair on me. My experience with both him and his staff has been nothing but friendly and warm. Dr. Camerota took time to explain both procedures to me. Day of surgery seeing his face put me at ease. His confidence and reassurance for both procedures gave me peace of mind. Jo-Ann P
This guy his staff and scheduler are the rudest coldest people I’ve dealt with and I’m in the industry. He didn’t explain anything and his scheduler was straight up poor to people. They reek.
Had a simple procedure with him that turned into a disaster. A simple gallbladder surgery turned into 3 surgeries, and similar to previous comments his office refused to see me for post op care. I could've avoided so many complications if I was seen for post op. Wound up with a post operative infection.
Dr. Camerota took the time to explain my procedure and came to see me in the hospital. His experience was clear to me as my operation was very successful, He is a very good doctor.
I had a procedure done for the removal of my gallbladder. I had a great experience with Dr. Camerota and I would highly recommend him.
I am very grateful to Dr. Andrew Camerota, who saved my life when I was referred to him a year ago for a complicated and frightening condition--volvulus of the stomach. My stomach had actually flipped upside down and moved up into my chest because of a paraesophageal hernia. Dr. Camerota was able to correct this condition laparoscopically, which meant that the recuperation time was shortened considerably. I found him to be both competent and compassionate. Since the surgery I have felt so much better that I feel like a new person. I cannot thank him enough for what he did for me.
Dr. Camerota did laparoscopic surgery on me to remove my gallbladder. It took a while to schedule because he wanted to be sure I had no active stones passing (I had to go to a gastroenterologist and have an MRI performed first), and I appreciate that bit of caution rather than have an overly complicated and possibly dangerous surgery. Though the laparoscopic procedure was supposed to be outpatient, an enlarged bile duct made the procedure a bit tricky and prompted Dr. Camerota to admit me int
