After many years with seizures, Dr. Kamitaki and his team finally diagnosed me with psychogenic seizures, which means that they actually occurred because of all the trauma I experienced in my past. I was relieved to hear this was not epilepsy or a brain problem. He was able to get me off medications, which caused many problems. I am still looking for a therapist but I'm grateful for learning about my diagnosis.

Honestly, I think that reviews should be limited to cuisine, but after reading that one star I am bending my own rules here, hopping that this finds the woman who wrote it. Go back and read your review. Look at your word usage in a sentence and think about the different mistakes that were made when you wrote it. Are mistakes like these typical of your writing? If not, those are red flags my friend. Worth paying attention to and talking over with your next neurologist, sometime soon. Regardless, if you are on your own feeling discouraged and need an ear, call Dr. Kamitaki’s office and ask the receptionist for my phone number. I’ll make time. To everyone else reading this.. Dr. Kamitaki is exceptional. Bright, positive, organized and attentive, I am grateful for his unwavering help. Actually, making it onto his patient roster was life changing for me. I needed a physician who understands epilepsy and the importance of clear communication. Dr. Kamitaki excels at both.

After going medically undiagnosed by several Neurologist for the past 2 years and prescribed numerous medications that I did not need with severe side effects. I felt very discouraged and depressed. Until a few months ago I was referred to Dr. Kamitaki by an acquaintance. I immediately made an appointment and had the pleasure to meet Dr. Kamitaki along with his associate. My consultation went extremely well., all my questions and concerns were answered with the upmost knowledge, professionalism and care. My consultation was not rush and I felt very comfortable and at ease. Dr. Kamitaki prescribed me the proper medication needed to address my years of headaches and immediate scheduling of a MRI. Dr. Kamitaki goes beyond for his patient and having him as my Neurologist now gives me hope for a better tomorrow. I highly recommend him to those seeking an excellent Neurologist!

I have been under the care and on going treatment by Dr. Kamitaki since December 2019 from an emergency visit at Robert woods Johnson (New Brunswick, NJ) due to what appeared at the time to be a seizure. All needed testing were ordered and received in a timely manner during my emergency visit from an EEG, MRI and CT Scan. Dr. Kamitaki and his staff were very professional, knowledgeable and answer all my questions and concerns accordingly. The scans were review and explained to me in details and with the upmost knowledge by Dr. Kamitaki. An immediate action plan was set in motion by Dr. Kamitaki to treat my underlying medical conditions along with the proper medications. Dr. Kamitaki is an excellent neurologist, his knowledge, dedication and care for his patients is remarkable. He has truly changed my life. I have never had a specialist who cares for his patients as much as Dr. Kamitaki. I give him a 5 star because he simply deserves it!

Dr. Kamitaki took care of my very ill grandmother in the hospital and in the outpatient setting. He was attentive and answered all of our questions. He frequently called us with an update or to check in on how my family was doing. He set realistic expectations and got my grandmother’s seizures under control. We were very fortunate to have such a wonderful and knowledgeable physician taking care of a love one!

Visited him a few months ago with his associate . They never read any of my MRIs nor did they look at any of the health reports that I brought with me. His diagnosis of my constant tremors..... Anxiety. Wants ne to take an antidepressant. and have a nerve test( They never called me back for that ) Im not depressed nor do I have anxiety I said. What would you do if it was your Mother ? Oh I would have her seek therapy. Well Im going for a 2nd opinion on the advice of my GP. Turns out my symptoms are not anxiety . They are a serious medical physical concern. Im having a Brain scan this week and seeing a new Neurologist after that. This has been going on for 5 months . It may well be a result of post Covid virus. We shall see. In the meantime I am contacting the head of Neurosurgery at RWJ Hospital in New Brunswick to repiort this incompetance. Thats what happens when you get a DR with 3 years experience. Sad because I have been misdiagnosed and I have wasted months .
