I was referred to Dr. Macias for surgery because I had a large hiatal hernia which had become much more symptomatic over recent years. As soon as I met Dr. Macias I knew I had the right surgeon. He was very easy to talk to, and he spent a good amount of time educating me about what to expect before and after surgery. He and his staff were easy to get in touch with regarding questions I had prior to surgery.I could tell within a few hours after surgery that it was a success. I was released the following day with minimal pain; I couldn't believe what an easy recovery I had. About six weeks postsurgery and I am completely back to all normal activities. This has really been life-changing.  Thanks so much to Dr. Macias and his wonderful staff!
