Dr Ikegami is a very talented and gifted heart surgeon. I was in need of bypass surgery and mitral valve replacement. Dr Ikegami took the time to explain what my heart condition was and how he could fix it...which he did. Dr Ikegami has a great bedside manner. The surgery was very successful and he was able to repair my mitral valve in lieu of replacement. I owe Dr Ikegami my current state of restored health. Thank you Dr Ikegami!

My partner is recovering from triple bypass surgery, performed by Dr. Ikegami. He said that, if he could give him 6 stars, he would! As someone in health care and the partner of a patient who had many misconceptions, I will say this: in addition to Dr. Ikegami's skilled surgical skills, he is also patient, positive and thorough in his explanations and follow-up care. He took the time to meet with me after the surgery and is, along with his staff, communicative and personable. Dr. Ikegami is, in our book, the doctor with a heart!❤

After a catheterization at JFK hospital in Edison, I was told I needed three bypass grafts because one of my arteries was 100% blocked, one was 90% blocked, and the third was 75-80 % blocked. I was transported to Robert Wood Johnson hospital in New Brunswick. I was told that Dr. Ikegami, someone I had never heard of, would perform the surgery. I thank God that he was there to save my life. I met him beforehand and he clearly explained what he would do. The surgery was on September 11, 2020 at around 6 PM. Remarkably, I was home the morning of September 14, 2020. I could go on and on attempting to express my gratitude and appreciation, but for brevity’s sake let me just say that Dr. Ikegami is a supremely talented and humble human being who comes as close as humans can come to performing the miraculous. I owe him my life. In my carefully considered opinion, I would recommend him above all other heart surgeons.May God bless him always .

One year ago I walked in RWJ with dissection of the aorta. That isn't something most people live and tell the story. Dr. Ikegami performed my surgery and saved my life.

An excellent surgeon who is passionate in the work he does! Plus he has the patience to answer questions and explain in a way in which the average person can understand. My daughter pleased with Dr Ikegami..He treated me almost as important! My daughter and I very pleased,He kept me informed every step,too.Never forgot about me after attending to my daughter.These matters are almost as important as the great job on surgery.He knew the importance of loved ones involvement in recovery of a patient
