Very experienced physician. Excellent overall. He answered my questions and was very knowledgeable.

Completely inaccessible. Waiting hours on the phone to get through a receptionist. Call back function does not even work. Appointments take months in advance to book. Difficult to get a reach of anyone here.

I agree to all the reviews which mentioned that he did circumcision for some other reasons. i am very frustrated and disappointed to know that he is recommending to many of you to make this procedure. Does he get paid more because of this surgery., ? He recommended this surgery to my 16 yr old son as we went for some pain and that pain did not go away even after 6 to 8 months after this surgery. Surgery also took whole day in the hospital. Also, he said he would call me regarding my sons sonogram and i keep calling him no reply from him or from his nurse. They are also not giving me the results. Who gave him license to practice. This should be reached out to RWJ higher official to question him. This is ridiculous and playing with small children's life. Doctor- This message is for you. Do not see many child patients and milk money instead please see few children with full care and show good customer care. - FRUSTRATED PARENT

He is experienced urologist, who knows how to perform complex procedures.

I shouldn’t give any stars to this dr. I called him for my child issue and dr. Joseph Barron’s told me that he will send the prescription to pharmacy and ultrasound to my email. Neither has been done and by 4 pm they are closed. Several times I called to remind them to send it.very very frustrated mom of a sick child.

Dr Barone was fantastic, he understood me whiles others couldn't, through my visitation and surgical was well explained. My 2 year old son was without pains and straight to his business like nothing happened. Thank you Dr Barone for the good job.

Background: My son had excruciating pain in the groin area which led me to take him to the ER. The ER doctor quickly assessed my son and diagnosed him with hydrocele. I am a medical professional so I knew it was not hydrocele. It was very obvious my son had an inguinal hernia. The ER doctor discharged us and said he will be ok. The following morning I took my son to his Pediatrician (Dr.Santiago, Metuchen NJ - THE ABSOLUTE BEST PEDIATRICIAN). His pediatrician recommended Dr.Barone (she diagnosed him with having b/l inguinal hernias). Fast forwarding to my experience with Dr.Barone. Hes an excellent Urologist. He is extremely knowledgeable and compassionate. He has excellent bedside manner. Dr.Barone treated my 2 year old son with dignity and respect. He answered all of my questions and concerns and made me feel comfortable with the information I was given in order to move forward with the best plan of care of my toddler. My son had the b/l inguinal hernia repair and a re-circumcision. Thank you Doc!

He should NOT have a medical liscnese. There should not be people like him in this world. He is highly unethical and will easily hand out a false diagnosis of phimosis in order to perform a circumcision. Was mutilated by him 12 years ago in a botched operation. Research the “condion” and or care of foreskin before taking his word.

Dr. Barone was highly recommended to me through a friend for my 13 year old son who needed to be evaluated. I was able to get an appointment immediately and from the initial phone call to the actual appointment I was very satisfied with the experience. Dr. Barone explained the radiologist report to us in a manner in which we could comprehend. He reviewed the sonogram and drew a picture for us to have a better understanding. We highly recommend Dr. Barone and the best part is he has several locations and various times so if you want the best urologist Dr. Barone is it in my opinion.
