I met Dr Haigentz after my oncologist of many years retired. I was very impressed with his thoroughness and patience in explaining everything to me in a way that I could understand- and he made sure I understood. He was extremely attentive , kind and thorough with my exam. I am very pleased
Dr. Haigentz's expertise and experience is magnified a thousand times with his genuine human touch. I'm grateful that he's my Oncologist.

Never felt more cared about and educated!!
The first time we met Dr Haigentz , he seemed to be knowledgeable in his field and was okay to talk to , maybe because I acknowledged I read so much about him and saw his picture in the magazine. The next time my sister took my mother back who is 76 years old with lung cancer and on oxygen 24/7, with some memory loss was a different story, he was nasty. I heard from others this seemed out of character for him but none the less happened and a bad experience that my mother encountered. Mr Haigentz was very condescending to my mother. He started by asking in a demanding way "what she was there for" He was the one who told her to make a follow up appointment after her radiation treatments. I was there for that. He made her feel stupid for not knowing being able to answer so quickly because she thought he knew why she was there and was confused by the question. At the end it was a waste of a trip for her since he didn't do anything but make her feel bad and schedule yet another appointment again. Is this just for money? or what? this appointment is not going to happen, it will be cancelled and she has to find another oncologist. She is timid and just follows instructions. I would have personally asked at that time again why you want to see me again if you didn't want to see me this ? will it be the same. But again my mom is elderly , scared and listens to what the Dr's. say. Also my mother lost weight he said and he yelled at her about that. She was not starving herself, just said had a loss of appetite. She is on medication and had radiation, maybe it was that and it was not substantial , it was like 7 lbs in a few months and is not under weight by all means. This was no reason to yell when she actually thought that it was good news because she has pre diabetes and is told by other Dr's to lose weight.. Mom left the office feeling scolded , confused more than ever and uncomfortable to ask any questions to him as he kept saying im a cancer doctor not your primary, ect. again it was his tone, not in a nice way but making her feel stupid. He should know as a Dr that some people do not understand what each Dr 's role is when your seeing him as your cancer dr, and also have a cardiologist, pulmonologists, primary, radiologist cancer dr, surgeon cancer dr and many more. It does get confusing for anyone, so she asked a question, just answer it nicely. People dealing with cancer are scared. He is also dealing with elderly and forgetful people with their lives that have been turned around. He needs to speak nicely and not make them cry and feel stupid. Not to mention now she said she will not longer seek treatment after this , especially if it means going back to see him. That's sad. But there is nice some nice other Dr's like her radiologist oncologist that may help her in still seeking medical treatment because they were kind and caring, so lets hope for that.
DR H. IS A DOCTOR WHO UNTIL THIS DAY CONTINUES TO REMAIN A GOOD MAN, DOCTOR, AND FRIEND. HE WAS ONE OF THE PEOPLE WHO NEVER EVER LET ME DOWN BY TREATING ME AS JUST ANOTHER PATIENT. EACH TIME I MET WITH HIM, I WAS “KEPT IN THE LOOP” OF MY PROGRESS ALONG THIS LONG ARDUOUS JOURNEY TO BETTER HEALTH. SOMETIMES LIFE DEALS US A GOOD HAND, SOMETIMES A BAD ONE. EITHER WAY WE MUST GIVE THANKS TO ALL WHO GAVE 110% TO HELP US. FROM THE BOTTOM OF MY HEART........................ THANK YOU DR. HAIGENTZ

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
