Nell Maloney Patel's Online Review Report Card

If I could give Dr Maloney Patel a higher rating than a 5 I would. She and her team were very thorough and professional. She performed a right hemicolectomy on March 9 without any complications. Aside from being a skillful and accomplished surgeon she was very comforting throughout the process and instilled a lot of confidence as I was absolutely terrified of the surgery. Lastly, she went above and beyond contacting her other colleagues regarding a past surgery I had. I can’t recommend her enough.

I am compelled to write a review after my most recent procedure with Dr.Nell Maloney-Patel even though she has been my physician for over 10 years . I have always felt she is an incredible and caring physician, It is not often you are so personally addressed, cared for and genuinely feel it by doctors. As I was installed into the surgical theater (4th time having same procedure but for the first time fully aware & conscious) my anxiety was high. Dr. Maloney-Patel took the time while I’m being administered sedative to hold my hand gently and introduce me to everyone (10-15 ppl students, nurses etc ) in the room and explain their role. At a time when I realize the time constraints of a busy & tight schedule, and this is why I’m making the time to review. It was a great comfort and I honestly believe the relief of stress helped not only the procedure, but my healing. She and her team are exemplary! She also accommodated by working in tandem with Dr. Ruth Stephenson seemlessly. Special thanks to nurse (@Cathy Egan) who always makes me feel important as well as her team of residents who are lucky to have her as a mentor. SINCERELY & TRULY

Dr. Nell Maloney Patel and her staff are compassion, caring, kind, and brilliant. I have been a patient of hers for a few years. Dr. Maloney Patel, Aliza (Nurse Practitioner), and Cathie (nurse) all listen. Dr. Maloney Patel clearly explains all procedures and options. I recently had excessive rectal bleeding and went to the ER. The ER physician, contacted her. Fortunately, she was in surgery. She sent a surgical resident to speak with me to get all the information to discuss with her. He came back down to tell me Dr. Maloney Patel would do surgery later in the day. When Dr. Maloney Patel completed all her previously scheduled surgeries, she came down to speak with me. I was so incredibly grateful to her. At 6:45 PM surgery began. I woke up in recovery at 8:15 PM. I feel she is so kind and dedicated. Having an appointment with a colorectal surgeon can be awkward. However, I always feel really comfortable. I wish I could rate this doctor way higher than 5 stars.

I was so blessed to have Dr. Patel as my doctor she got me through cancer surgery and ileostomy and back to a normal life.She is wonderful caring doctor and so kind. I will always be so grateful to her.

Dr. Maloney is great BUT her nurse Cathy E. really needs to not be there. She has no bedside manner and no patience. Sounds like you’re always bothering her. If you hate your job then just quit already. Questions you on why you need to speak to the doctor, like I already told you! Just have her retire already and get a new nurse please. I really hope the doctor sees this and fixes the issue because other than that the doctor and other staff are great

Dr. Patel is a compassionate listener who gave me the time I needed to explain my condition. I immediately felt comfortable discussing a very personal issue of great concern to me. After listening to me, she proposed a remedy that is giving me some relief. On my second visit she focused on the initial results and explored how I might get further relief. I am very satisfied with Dr. Maloney. The staff, from the front desk reception to the nursing assistants were also professional and supportive.

First time having a surgical procedure and petrified of hospitals. A top rated MD.

She is one of the most positive and uplifting surgeons I met. Her top notch expertise plus her compassion to the patients will make your day. I can't say enough on her kind heart. Thank you Dr. Maloney Patel!!

Dr. Maloney Patel is very caring and explains everything thoroughly. She's very reassuring and addressed my problems with great care. Kathy, the nurse is one of the kindest people I've met so far in the medical profession. They always answer my calls and have tried to fit me in sometimes earlier than I was scheduled.

I cannot say enough positive things about Dr. Maloney Patel and her nurse Cathie Egan. From the day I met them five and a half years ago to today when Dr Maloney Patel declared me cancer free, these highly-skilled professionals have been kind and compassionate through every step of my journey. Dr. Maloney Patel and Nurse Cathie spent as much time with me as I needed, patiently answering every question and addressing every concern. Both were very responsive to emails and calls as well, offering their assistance for anything I might need. I am blessed that they were by my side.
