Radiation therapy techs at Cancer Institute of NJ at Robert Wood Johnson Univ Hospital are very defensive when asked any questions about the treatment. They claim to be very knowledgeable and expert in what they do but get very defensive when asked any question about the treatment you are getting and refuse to answer. The radiation oncologist is good to talk to but if there are any issues with the techs who are giving you the treatment; the oncologist refuses to resolve the issue and tells the patient to deal with the techs directly. How do you deal with someone to resolve the issue when that “someone” is the real problem?? The oncologist has not power to help patients if the techs are giving hard time to patients. Even the supervisor of the radiation technologist does not seem to have any control over her techs. The whole facility is “tech friendly” rather than “patient friendly”. I would never recommend anyone to this facility.
