My daughter was diagnosed with leukemia. Drachtman spent an hour with my daughter and I convincing us to bring her to Robert Wood Bristol Myer Squib for treatment. Once we were in he did not want to be bothered anymore. We switched doctors. Her name was April Sorrell who was fantastic and gave my daughter the upmost attention. Unfortunately she is no longer at Robert Wood. I was just trying to save my daughters life. I saw the dark side of health care. It’s a business. Drachtman didn’t care about my daughter. Unfortunately we lost our daughter. Dr. Kamen lead doctor actually came to the wake. To no surprise no response from Drachtman. I would never recommend him to anyone try to save their child.

I will not recommend him to anyone. He condescended my wife and I to the point that we asked RWJ to send our son medical record to a different institution for care. While, we were in the process of transferring our son , his staff contracted Child Social Service and opened a case against us.

Very bad bedside manner. My friend and his wife went to see this doctor about a year ago - he was very condescending towards my friend's wife. Just an all around bad experience - see this doctor at your own risk.

Exuded confidence when we had none. He pulled my family thru an extremely difficult time, leukemia is a nightmare but with the right care your child can beat it.

Dr. D (as we refer to him) is the best doctor period. He handles his patients with compassion, patience and gets down to the level of the children while still at a level where parents can understand the situation and steps going forward. Dr. D and his staff are top notch in my family's book!
