I had robotic surgery for a partial removal of my kidney on May 13, 2023. He took the time to explain the procedure and answered my questions. The surgery was successful and I am cancer free. My husband was diagnosed with kidney cancer, with the possiblity of a full nephrectomy. THANKFULLY, he was referred to Dr. Elsamra, Urology Specialist, by his urologist to see if he was a candidate for a partial nephrectomy. Dr. Elsamra was able to do a partial nephrectomy successfully, a Robotic surgical procedure at RWJUH in New Brunswick, NJ! Dr. Elsamra saved 1/2 of his kidney. My husband recovered quickly, without any setbacks! No further treatment is required, plus has 1 and 1/2 kidney function! We are so very grateful and blessed to have had Dr. Elsamra be recommended to us! Forever grateful!

I met Dr Elsamra for prostate cancer in Aug., at that time i was very nervous did not know what to expect. Dr. explain the procedure and I never felt rushed. he answered all of our questions and concerns about the robotics surgery.i had no complications. My recovery was 3weeks and my results were great.he retrieved all the cancer. I recommend Dr Elsamra for robotics surgery.

Dr. Sammy Elsamra operated on me in 2022, when I was diagnosed with an enlarged prostate and kidney stone. He surgically took care of the prostate and the second operation removed the kidney stone. His expertise and manner helped me to a quick recovery. The follow-up exams were done by him and his APN Joanna Gurdak. I was treated wonderfully, and I am so thankful for his great work. He listened to all my concerns and addressed each and every one of them. I highly recommend him and his services.

Total waste of time. Had 1:45 appointment, told to get there at at 1:30p. After 45 min, asked how much longer it would be as I had other appointments later in the day. Was told he wouldn’t be able to see me till at least 3. Either he’s been double booking or horrible schedule management. Could understand if he was even 45 minutes behind but almost an hour and half is horrible. Getting an appointment takes long enough, to have to cancel it because of poor scheduling compounds the frustration.

After three long years of seeing multiple doctors and suffering I was ready to give up but it wasn’t until I was referred to Dr. Elsamra. Thought he was going to be like the other doctors but he proved me wrong. From the first day seeing him to him finally diagnosing me to the big surgery. Now I’m a little over a month post op from a robotic bladder augmentation and I feel like I have my life back. The day of surgery I was really anxious and nervous but between his resident Dr. Patel and him and the anesthesiologist and the entire OR staff they really made me feel at ease. Robotic surgery sounded scary at first but the recovery was very smooth and I was up and walking the next day with little to no pain. My first post op appt. I recovered so well it didn’t even feel like I had surgery. Still have a long road ahead but I’m happy with the outcome I’ve had so far and he even noticed I’m much more happier. With that being said if you ever need a urologist or a robotic surgeon Dr. Elsamra is the one. Not only does he listen and care he will not stop until he finds out what the problem is and he will always go over all the options that will help benefit you. Also his residents and office staff are amazing. I am proud to be one of his patients and will always thank him constantly😊

Dr, Elsamra performed a radical prostatectomy on me Oct 12th, 2022 after I was diagnosed at age 55 with stage II prostate cancer. I cannot say enough good things regarding him, his staff and the RWJ facility. He is extremely professional and personable, kind and patient. He took the time to address any questions or concerns that I had, both before and after surgery. Dr. Elsamra is very down to earth and there was absolutely no hint of a God complex from him. Based on my experience, I would not hesitate to recommend him as a surgeon to anyone experiencing the same issues. He is the absolutely the best at what he does. Initially, my local urologist recommended 2 surgeons. I chose Dr, Elsamra based on his excellent reviews and the reputation of RWJ hospital, even though it would mean a 2 1/2 hr drive each way. Despite the fact that the other surgeon and hospital option was closer to home, there is no question in my mind that when choosing Dr. Elsamra I made the right decision.

Can never get hold of a nurse, their call service is terrible!. In order to get in touch with them you have to leave a voicemail. ----- I'm not in the system, bc I called in behalf of my wife. I left a message and still haven't received a follow up call. We were also using the portal and got message 5 hours later saying go to hospital after the fact that we are already here. All in all we are not happy with the way we are getting communicated or getting in hold of someone. No follow-ups from anyone the day after surgery. Please follow up with your patients specially after major surgeries... All of this could of been avoided with a simple call.
