My relative almost died because she and her team anchored their diagnosis on scleroderma (she is a “scleroderma expert” reportedly), and discharged my relative home without any further work-up or treatment. My relative was not even given any medications on discharge and was asked to follow-up outpatient. This was despite multiple concerns raised by us about the patient’s condition. My relative then got critically sick a few hours later, and had to be admitted to the critical care unit of another hospital to save her life and for further care. I hope she is kinder and more receptive when she sees other patients. I shall never go to or refer anyone to this hospital for rheumatology care again. Unfortunately, 1 is the lowest score this system allows me to give her, otherwise would have rated her even lower

Dr Hsu has been my scleroderma dr since 2007.... She was the only doctor in the area who even had a clue on how to treat me.......14 yrs later I'm still doing well and she has recommended other drs to me who are tremendous........This dr has becone my friend and is a treasure....I could go on and on but you get it ??

My RA presented in an unusual way and Dr. Hsu diagnosed it, giving me physical and psychological relief. She and her staff, including the various residents and students are thorough both in care and in providing explanations.

Dr. Hsu rushed through my appointment and was rude. I spent 45 min with an intern and medical student and 15 min max with her. She even took a phone call during the appointment. She is very busy, did not read through the 20 plus pages of medical records I sent in advance. I would never recommend her! Waited 4 mos for this appointment and left her office disappointed, upset and with more questions than answers. Find someone else.

I'm not gonna babble about this or that .....this is one fantastic dr!

She prescribed some medicines or previous visit. On next visit she asks why are you taking this tablet and who gave you this. After I remided that she was the one who prescribed then shw was telling some reasons. Before her checkup lot of other people and come collect lot of data. Very rude behaviour

She cares for her patients and above all a great knowledge of her specialty, good patient-doctor communication

Dr. Shu is very concerned about the health of his patients, explains every detail of the illness, as well as the care to follow, makes me feel confident and sure of being in good hands and someone who has extensive experience in my medical condition, is a Privilege for me to be attended by a to health care excellence, thank you Dr. Viven Shu

Dr. Hsu was the initial doctor to diagnose my lupus. Excellent, explained everything thoroughly, really showed genuine concern. Didn't treat you as if you were making things up. Moved so had to change doctors. Have yet to find a doctor that provided the same level of professionalism.
