Donald A. Leichter's Online Review Report Card

I saw Dr. Leichter for a fetal echocardiogram and did not have a pleasant experience. The procedure required me to be laying flat, completely still for over an hour. This did not seem like too big a deal until you factor in restless legs, back pain, and GERD from pregnancy. I really was as still as possible but there were several times he snapped at me during - once for taking too deep a breath, once for a hiccup and some minor movements (I had to scratch my face). I was already overwhelmed being there and was doing my best, but his frustrated and cold nature made it seem like I was doing these things intentionally or not following directions.

Dr. Leichter has been caring for my daughter for 15 years, and he has been fantastic every step of the way. Although the office often runs behind bc they are caring for some very sick kiddos, when he is with us, he is thorough, caring, funny and just perfectly wonderful when explaining things to us all. We are a big fan of Dr. Leichter.

I went to see him after finding out throughout my pregnancy a 20 weeks that my son had a serious heart defect, after the echo he sat with us and never told us what the condition was, since the beginning he said the worst case scenarios and told us to have an abortion, in all he explain that it was most likely my soon wouldn’t make it, and that i was young and could have more children. Today as I. Write this review is my sons third birthday he has gotten two open heart surgeries, but if you look at him you would never know that he has a condition. I am so happy i did not follow thru with this doctor.

The secretary cancelled last minute on us because simply forgot to check his schedule.

Dr. Leichter was really great with my son... put him at ease! Totally would recommend him.

Dr leichter performed open heart for me at the age of 1. He then perfomed bi-annual monitoring for me until I was 21. He is a great doctor. Calm and explains himself well. I would highly recommend.

Dr. Leichter and his staff are wonderful. My son was diagnosed with an abnormal heartbeat just a few days before he was supposed to leave on a lacrosse trip. The office staff fit him in right away, and Dr. Leighter gave up his lunch to give my son an EKG, stress test and echocardiogram. He took the time to give me a very detailed description of the problem, as well as an overview of possible treatment options. We are extremely grateful for his care.

Very Caring and patient.

We literally had to wait for 2 hours before we saw the doctor. We spent a total of 3 hours in the office. Unacceptable to keep a 5 year old in an exam room with a gown on.

I've been a patient of Dr. Leichter since i was born , so ive been going to his office for 20 years. He is one of the best doctors i have ever went to. He will never rush your appointment and explains everything and always asks if you have any questions. I also love his staff members too Any time i call they are friendly on the phone and friendly durning office visits. I recommend him .
