I had an amazing experience at Dr. Bassett’s office. Pegah, the NYU resident, was hilarious and kind but also super attentive. We had a good laugh but she also noticed my swollen thyroid and put my worries at ease. Dr. Bassett was incredibly thorough, working around my thyroid issue to craft a tailored treatment plan. The team went above and beyond, setting me up with top-notch specialists in endocrinology and ENT. I really appreciated that he even called these specialists to explain my situation, so I left with appointments already made. Everyone, from the staff to Dr. Bassett’s wife, was genuinely kind. Would highly recommend!

Very sneaky practice ! I had an unauthorized charge of $882 on my card from a visit I had 2 months ago until now. Also the doctor was aware before seeing me that my insurance would not cover that one visit and he never said anything to me and they never called me to let me know they would charge my card either. They are supposed to call the patient before charging anything on a patients card, but they don’t . My insurance company had already paid the doctor for that visit and on top of that I had paid my $40 co-pay too so it’s just extra money that the doctor wants to charge. They wait till October to charge me from a August visit. The worst . Never again. Very sneaky ! And money hungry!

I have gone to many allergists over the years. He saw me when I was at another dr. The dr. Called Dr Bassett‘a office and I was seen several hours later that day. He is so thorough and gave mee a safe list to get because of what I am allergic to. Other Drs. Said it was rosacea and gave me meds that made it worse . He is definitely very professional and an excellent Allergist.I highly recommend him.

Additionally, he generously shared a valuable tip on obtaining prescription medication at a lower cost through the GoodRx app. Notably, the entire office team, including Dr. Bassett's skilled and affable assistants, contribute to the overall positive experience. Their extensive training is evident as they efficiently handle administrative tasks and interact warmly with patients. Following an allergy test, Dr. Bassett involved me in the decision-making process regarding my potential allergy treatment. This inclusive approach to care made me feel empowered and valued as a patient. I sincerely hope that more doctors emulate Dr. Bassett's exceptional qualities and dedication to patient well-being.

At best, Dr Bassett spent less than a minute with me per visit. At worst, he allowed a visiting medical student to diagnose me. Three times the same thing happened: a few minutes into the visit the nurse came in and handed him a folded up piece of paper and he pretended he had an emergency and left. I waited at least 45 minutes each time, and he never came back.

I had a wonderful experience with Dr. Bassett while getting allergy tested. Unlike other doctors, he did not rush through my medical history and connected dots that I didn’t know existed! A true allergy detective. Furthermore, he went above and beyond in his care, came up with an individualized care plan and was very receptive and understanding of my apprehensions and concerns. Everyone at the office including the nurses and secretaries were extremely kind and made me very comfortable. Overall, a wonderful experience and would highly recommend Dr. Bassett as an allergist!

I was referred to Dr. Bassett for immune allergy concerns. He took time to ask a lot of questions and was very diligent. He referred me to a hematologist and a specialty Dr. in immunology for genetic testing. He also followed up with me regarding appointments and to answer some follow up questions. His office is very cordial and they are very responsive. I would say he has great bedside manners, and is inquisitive and knowledgeable. I definitely recommend him.

Incredibly thorough and very kind. Smart and takes the extra time to hear what you need. Excellent quality medical care.

There is not enough stars for this wonderful doctor ! Knowledgeable, attentive and caring to get to the root of the issue. An absolute delight to work with!

I had to wait 3 weeks to get an appt for an allergic reaction to a pnuemonia vaccine. Once I went to the office, I had to wait well over an hour past my appt time. Just as I was about to be called in, the nurse told me they close for lunch, and I would have to leave and return in an hour. I explained that I was disabled and would find that difficult. I was called in by an obviously put off nurse. Dr Bassett spent the majority of my 15 minute visit hawking his book. He did not take a real history. He said he could "guess" at my allergy; I asked about an allergy test. He declined. At the end of the visit, he gave me a pre-printed paper with the name of his book. I asked the front desk to send a copy of my notes sent to me and to my PMD; no result. Two months later I asked again with no results. It is now 4 months later; I asked again for a copy; so far no results.
