Once in (my) lifetime comes someone like Dr Ahmed. I had a run in with a table saw some 7 years ago. I severed all abductor tendons, the ulnar artery, the major nerve trunks. He had finished a full day and was headed home when he got the call that he was needed back at University Hospital to put me back together.I was in the ED with a hole in my arm about the size if a golf ball when we waited his arrival. Some weeks later, I read the operative report. He had spent two hours, along with his assistant (resident?), to remove particles of pressure treated lumber from the interior of my useless left arm.Today I have most of the ability of my arm back. I am forever indebited to Dr Ahmed.Oh, I forgot to mention he has the bedside manner of an angel. You feel your mother AND father and the deity of your choosing are attending you.I know I'm gushing, but I was brought up to take almost nothing for granted, and I am forever grateful I was cared for by Dr Irfan AhmedJohn NegliaUnion NJ
