He is the worst. He cancelled on me 4 weeks in a row after i had been in the hospital for a month which included 6 days on a ventilator i understand people get sick but dam there was no one to cover for him geez
This doctor treats patients like cattle. He is unavailable and trusts interns to do his work. When you have intellectual questions this dr goes into hiding. He literally does not care about human life! Stay clear!!!!!There is no bedside manor not sense of empathy- literally told me my father was going to die anyway!! I pray for his soul
Dr Mark ADELMAN operated on my legs a few years ago . I had blockages in my veins and I could only walk a few blocks at a time . Dr ADELMAN was so kind and explained what had to be done . Dr Mark ADELMAN operated on both of my legs at NY U Medical Center and I can now walk for a mile because of the brilliant surgery by Dr ADELMAN . It is sad to hear the news about Dr ADELMAN’s resignation from NYU . He was one of the nicest , most caring surgeons and I can walk because of him . Edward Grossman
This is a doctor that has lost his way. He is a critical care doctor that avoids engaging with families and refuses to admit fault. My family was destroyed, mislead and lied to. He also went as far as hiding our prognosis. His leadership is a joke and his staff deserve better guidance. Our family was destroyed. This man is unethical.
I am so sorry to hear about Dr. Adelman's departure from NYU Medical. He performed two surgeries on my legs years ago and I also found him very caring and professional. Good luck Dr. Adleman....thank you for all you did for many of us over the years.
I understand that Dr. Adelman has been discharged from NYU Hospital. However, I want to let you know that I had a wonderful relationship with this physician. He performed surgery, we had several post surgery meetings. In everything that he did, he was caring, thoughtful, professional . I would recommend him to anyone who needed a vascular surgeon.
I recently had carotid artery surgery with Dr. Adelman. He was recommended to me by another vascular surgeon as one of the best, and he is. He is pleasant and engaging; welcomes questions and answers them in a simple, straight-forward and complete manner; and is a pleasure to deal with. Appointments were prompt, but never rushed. Most importantly, he did a great job with the surgery and my recovery has been quick, painless and complete. His staff at NYU is also friendly and responsive.
Several years ago I decided to have the venous insufficiency procedure. Prior to the procedure I asked if I would have to continue to wear compression stockings. I was told by dr.adelman that the stockings would no longer be necessary. However several years later I am in constant pain due to scar tissue and nerve damage and I continue to have to wear my compression stockings. I would not have had the procedure done had I known that I would have to suffer all these years. I was misinformed..
My fondest wish is that everyone with vascular issues would see Dr. Adelman. My own primary care physician, Dr. Daniel Charnoff, had recommended him to me two days ago, informing me that Dr. Adelman had operated on his father 25 years ago. Further, he remarked that if ever he, himself, required vascular surgery, he would see only Dr. Adelman. I was fortunate enough to get an appointment the following day and, although fearing the worst news, I got the best. Goodbye to apprehension!
Dr Adelman takes time to answer your questions and put you at ease which was so helpful before my procedure. He's warm and funny and a great surgeon. I'm very happy with the results!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
