Dr Carmel was my pediatric surgeon all the way from 8-20! Several surgeries later and now that I’m almost 50, I need a neurosurgeon and I’m lost. I’m trying to find Dr Carmel

Dr. Carmel was my neurosurgeon from when I was 18 months old all the way into my teen years. I am 50 now, many, many surgeries have come and gone in between, and I am married with two teenage children of my own. I still remember to this day how he always listened to me, his wonderful bedside manner, and how he kept me alive for the first part of my life.

I was only 12 going on 13 at the time of my first craniotomy. It was the middle of the summer and I was so upset that I had to miss out on playing with my friends. And I’ll never forget waking up from surgery and Dr. Carmel saying I’m sorry, there was nothing we could do to get rid of all of your freckles haha. He had a great sense of humor.

This man saved my daughter! He is an amazing surgeon. My daughter was 7 when Dr. Carmel performed surgery. I hope he can teach more doctors so that more children can be saved. Thank you Dr. Carmel

Dr. Carmel was my neurosurgeon from 1971-until the mid 1980’s. I will always remember his compassion and his knowledgeability in helping me understand my condition. He performed at least 5 surgeries on me that I can remember.

My daughter almost died because him, telling others doctor what to do over the phone,never went to see my daughter after he did surgery

My daughter was diagnosed with hydrocephalus he saw my daughter for a few months then decided to put a shunt,was late for surgery,after surgery never saw him again, my daughter end it up with a brain abscess, always telling doctor what to do over the phone never saw him again until today

He has a fantastic bedside manner his surgical skill was and is remarkable. My granddaughter had surgery by Dr. Carmel and he saved her life, she was only 3 yrs. old and the surgery was 10 1/2 hrs. It was sooooo Successful. He is one of the greatest!!!'

I think that man spends more time out of the office and in meetings than he does seeing patients maybe he should retire because the code of ethics is certainly in my opinion not being followed
