List of Renee Cabaleiro's Reviews
This doctor cares about her patients and does what not many doctors do nowadays. FOLLOWS UP! She is dedicated and loving. Amazing abilities! Highly recommended.
Dr. Cabaleiro is amazing. She is very concerned, empathetic ans follows up accordingly. Been with her for years and as far as the quality of her work and her follow up, she is unparalleled. I would never switch because I know I will never get the same quality care elsewhere. Love and appreciate her!
Doctor is very thorough. Takes the time to explain everything
Got there at 2:45 for my 3 pm appointment so I can fill out paper work. 45 minutes passes; and nothing. At 3:30 someone who had an appointment for 3:30 came in. 5 minutes later they sat him! I complained and they said if I don't like it I can leave. Horrible staff!
Dr. Killbear. She waited until my Mother was near death to do an endoscopy (twice) told her she was "monitoring her" then disappeared for days. Hospital staff had to keep calling her to come in to do an endoscopy. Even with the endoscopy she does band-aid treatments never fully resolving the issue. And do you know why? So she can keep gaining billable hours. For some reason she is the only doctor out of Newark Beth Israel and that should not be allowed. She sucks up medical insurance by prolonging patient treatment. A previous time she couldn't get the feeding tube in right, had to do it twice. Every time she does a procedure she has to do it twice. Did I forget to add she has a terrible and poor bedside demeanor? Overall incompetence. Reaching out to the NJ Medical Board. Doesn't deserve to practice anywhere not even in a remote 3rd world country that has no other doctors.
Waited for over an hour and a half for an appointment with her and she wasn’t in the office for the first hour. Poorly organized.
Dr. Is amazing the staff is not so good I called with an emergency on a Monday and they told me I have to wait til Thursaday to be seen by Dr Cabaleiro so disappointed.
She is a nightmare, after 3 endoscopes, capsule test and colonoscopy she passed me onto another specialist. Isn't she supposed to be a specialist. Very abrupt, doesn't fully explain anything to aging patients. Overall should not be in the Medical field. So much of my time was wasted dealing with her. Hard to get in contact with her to even have endoscopy done. Unethical and incompetent.
However with my family member being an in-patient we are stuck with her for now as I am trying to find a better GI Doctor that is affiliated with the hospital. Fast talker, too rushy with patients and family, takes too long to actually get to the issue. Treating a family member in the hospital and her bed side manner is terrible. Doesn't call family/representatives. She just does what she wants with the patients w/o consulting with family and updating on the issues. Pops up doesn't schedule actual times for in-patient services. I was told by Nursing Managers she pops up because she is just so busy, yeah right. Took weeks to finally do a colonoscopy on my family member when that is normally the first step to diagnosing any gastritis/gi issues. Instead was pushing for surgery when catscans showed no obvious signs of a need for surgical intervention. Took forever to realize she should do a colonoscopy. Family member has gastro issues in general and flare ups every few years and never needed surgery however her actual GI doctor does routine scopes and years later no need for surgery just pain meds and intestinal meds to calm the flare up.
Excelente doctor

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
