I had a visit last week, waited over an hour and half passed my appointment time, for the doctor to spend less than 10 minutes with me!!! WILL NEVER USE OR RECOMMEND THIS PRACTICE

I had already paid over $5,000 for cataract surgery and lenses, yet when I walk in for a follow up, there is no "Hello, no "Have a Seat", nothing like that, just the statement: "You have a balance due". They were right, my "balance due" was: $11.42. I guess that's more important than saying hello to a patient.

My appointment was during Covid, so I expected extra caution. There was a screening person in the corridor--good. Inside, there were only 3 patients in the inner waiting room, but the wait was the usual--well over an hour. I don't know if all exam rooms were sanitized between patients, but each step of the process was rushed, and one was skipped. Three days later, I had a fever, was taken by ambulance to the Newton ER. When my wife called Eye Physicians, a curt clerk said only that they follow CDC guidelines. It did not look that way to me. The exam itself was cursory, not thorough. I'm looking for another practice for my next exam.

Dr Hirschfeld is great. I have confidence in her. I have been going to this group of doctors since 1985. All doctors offices seem slow but but this group is the best.

The worst experience in my life. Dr Hirschfeld made me feel so low, she had me ready in the O.R with eyes numb and dilated eyes, to then tell me I was moving to much just for asking a simple question. I asked her to please retry I usually don’t move she refused to give me a chance and said we can’t continue with this procedure. After 1 month of waiting to finally get this surgery I was sent home and told I have to see a different doctor to do my surgery. She is a cold hearted person, I even said I need this surgery ASAP because I work driving a company vehicle and I’m like an accident waiting to happen. She had no empathy at all whatsoever and walked away. I would not recommend this Doctor “Hirschfeld” to my worst enemy!!!!!!!!!

Dr Hirschfeld is a competent,thorough Opthalmologist who has helped diagnose a problem others missed. Highly recommend her and her staff, very pleased.
