Had some blood work done for an issue I'm having, I got all of my results the next day and it's been a month since I've heard from the office
I would rather have not given this doctor a star. I’ve had a thyroid condition for almost 9 years. I went to see him because I believed I was having issues. He said it was probably anemia and could be giving me the symptoms I had. I HAVE A THYROID ISSUE. He sent me for bloodwork and it came back with what I expected. Not anemia but in fact thyroid. Instead of calling me in to explain the bloodwork, he has his nurse call to tell me they’re going to start me on meds. But why? What’s wrong? What’s the problem? Any explanation? No. Explanation of the pill I’m taking? No. Don’t go here. He doesn’t care for your well being at all. Find another doctor.
This doctor doesn’t even deserve one star, if you care about your family or friends with diabetes stay far away from this doctor, he shouldn’t even have a license to be a doctor, is office people are absolutely horrible and rude, the doctor holds your diabetes as a privilege not a must to stay alive, will not give you your insulin if he doesn’t feel you met his requirements, after seeing this doctor it as made me afraid to see another doctor, please stay far away from this practice they are money hungry monsters! Don’t put your family members through this !!!
Dr. Stas is outstanding, caring, and very thorough. He is my doctor for my diabetes for 5 years now, and I have cystic fibrosis. The staff has always been kind and courteous, and his nurse is fantastic ! Thank you for the great care ! Debbie P
He is kind and listens. He takes the time to answer questions.

If you care about your family members who have diabetes at all avoid Dr Stas like you would someone with a cold. There office staff is rude and flat out lies. When you call them on it they say I am not dealing with your tone and hang up on you. They leave out important information such as which pharmacies cover the scripts they are writing per Medicare (which requires specific pharmacies that are approved by them for things such as glucose monitors) because it’s not their job to tell you that information. They make up rules such as you must pay for 1-2 appointments and track glucose readings for 2 months which the insurance does not require if the Medicare rep I spoke to the last two times is to be believed. Drive to Hackettstown or Morristown or Denville just anything to avoid this office if you care about your person because they won’t handle seeing this doctor well at all.
My experience with the doctor was okay, not enough to make me not come back, but I knew there was better doctors/care as most visits seemed like I was a number rather than a patient, they were unclear and rushed. However, the system and staff here are terrible. My last visit, I said that I would not be returning and wanted to know if there was anything I should fill out - I was told no, I would just need to call. I now live hours from the place and can not get any of my records, because 1. I never signed a document I was told didn't exist and 2. I don't have a fax machine and email is something they are unaware exists. This isn't the first issue I've had between not calling me to remind my of appointments when I scheduled them a 6 months to a year in advance, telling me I'm coming in for selected tests to then come up in and be told my the doctor I don't need them and I should of gotten blood work before coming (which I was never made aware of).I've been to plenty of great doctors/offices during my time in Sparta. I highly suggest going to one of them, otherwise your medical history will be just that - history.
Good bedside manner , knowledgeable, and we have good results.
Good, knowledgeable doctor with bedside manner. I have been under care for quite some times. My quality of life has improved significantly.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
