List of Samir Shah's Reviews
My primary care doc referred me to DR Shah due to a home test for sleep apnea. I made an appointment two months out, the first available. 10:30 AM on a Tuesday morning. The office told me to arrive 15 minutes early and to wait in the car until the nurse called me in. (Covid protocol). At 10:20 the nurse called me in and showed me to an exam room. She weighed me, took blood pressure etc and went over my history. At 10:40 she was finished and told me to wait for the Dr. She then informed me that he has not yet called in. Turns out he goes to the hospital first and when leaving he sends a text to the office. Since the hospital is about 15 minutes from the office, I estimated that the earliest he would be there would be 11:00 AM. She then told me that there were 2 other patients waiting ahead of me. I told her that was ridiculous and I walked out of the office. Many doctor's have no regard for appointment times and seem to think their patients should just wait for them until they are ready no matter how long the wait. This is rude and inconsiderate.

He is one of the worst doctors you will ever meet, do yourself a favor and don't go to him. If you go there for sleep apnea, you get the sleep study done and there is no follow through, He doesn't return calls, lose your sd card, and blames you when he takes it from you, mean while your suffering because you cant breath and he doesn't care, his office staff is rude! No one picks up the phone. Awful place to go
Every question that I had was fully answered in a very polite and intelligent manner. I have never felt rushed in any way with any appointment that I might have had with him. In a few very serious situations he has proven himself to be fully competent and well prepared for any adversity. I have and would continue to recommend him to anyone seeking my opinion.
I have been a patient for several years now and would highly recommend Dr. Shah to anyone. He takes the time to truly listen to any concerns I have and never seems rushed or inpatient. I have never had to wait more than 5 minutes after my scheduled time, even when I have been scheduled as the first appointment in the morning. The practice has always warned Dr. Shah's patients that the first appointment of the day may be delayed because of the doctor's scheduled hospital rounds.
My husband and my two daughters go to Dr. Shah and he is wonderful!! He listens and then explains everything he has been spot on with all three of them and they are all doing great on his treatment plans can’t say enough.
Caring, compassionate and takes the time to explain everything and answer your questions
I’ve been with Dr Shah for about four years now is a wonderful doctor. Compassionate knowledgeable and empathetic. Listens to you, and answers all questions about your condition. His office always gives callbacks never had a problem, great staff.Wonderful care when I was in Newton hospital. Couldn’t ask for better care.
First time visiting this doctor. My appointment was scheduled at 10:45. I came in early, at the office's request. I am still waiting at 11:45. This will likely be my last appointment, as well.
Waited three months for a 10:30 appointment for my severe sleep apnea. Got to the office and filled out all my paperwork and waited. And waited. And waited. And waited. When I finally asked how much longer it would be, the nurse at the desk told me she didn't know because they hadn't heard from the doctor yet. When I asked what that meant, she said he still hasn't gotten to the office yet. He goes to the hospital in the morning and is "usually" in by ten. When I asked them to reschedule my appointment they said the next opening was over two months away. I left. I can't properly rate this doctor because.i didn't ever see him. I did waste an hour driving there and back and an hour in the waiting room without ever being told that he wasn't there and it might be long wait. I would not recommend making an early appointment with Dr. Shah. He may be a good doctor but there's no guarantee he'll be there on time

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
