List of Mark S. Waxman's Reviews
Dr. Waxman is a great diagnostician. He has a very calm manner. I find him to be very respectful of his patients. Also he takes the time to go over everything with you. He's very methodical, so it's good to bring a list of questions. I see some people complaining here about the staff, but I find them to be very professional.
These people clearly don't care . They also don't even try to help. I was late and came far.. I don't drive. I got lost and the lady in the front desk did not care about any of that. I would not come back here just from the customer service alone!
My visit was pleasant and informative. Very attentive staff made me feel comfortable and at ease the entire time. Would recommend to others.
As a GP is ok; but his side business, and the ka-ching - is in colonoscopies. If he could get you/your insurance to outlay $for that annually, he'd be thrilled. In the past 4 years, experiencing a revolving door at the front desk.
My husband is not an easy patient and hates going to the doctors. Dr Waxman made him feel comfortable and did a complete exam. He was very professional but also friendly and he made him felt as if he knew him for years. The office staff was very friendly and helpful, was able to get an appointment within a reasonable time frame.
I have had a problem with Irritable Bowel Syndrome for many years. Dr Waxman was the first Doctor who took the time to explain my condition in detail and recommended specific diet and other instructions which have made a great difference in my lifestyle. His office staff were courteous, helpful, and friendly from the Front desk to the person who drew my blood. The Doctor was extremely knowledgeable and caring.
Dr. Waxman cost me a job by refusing to fill out a form saying that the medication that he has been giving me for over twenty years has not affected my decision making abilities. He told me that if anything happens during the course of my life, HE will get sued. I have spoken to other doctors in NJ, and they told me that they would sign the form but I am not their patient. The medication in question is Paxil. The MTA told me that I am the only one that could not get it signed.
Beware of this money grubbing "doctor". He told me the problem may or may not be acid reflux and was most likely in my head. I don't want to be on pills so I saw another doctor at NYU and he found a hiatel hernia and Schatzki's Ring - both on the x-rays which Dr Waxman had ordered and an endoscopy, also performed by Dr Waxman. If you want quality care find another doctor!!!
Day-time Staff is unbelievably rude and discuss other patients' personal business. When they are willing to be helpful, they make comments to make you feel uncomfortable. Dr. Waxman is knowledgable and a decent doctor. I opted to choose a new doctor due to his staff.
I have recomended him to many of my friends and family.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
