Juan Prudente is a great doctor. The staff are very poor communicators .
My husband was admitted for 2 days, and honestly have to say the Staff, Nurses and Doctors were great! Especially the doctors, couldn't have asked for better service! They were patient, I had some questions and concerns and they immediately answered to all my concerns for my husband. I am happy the service has gotten extremely better. There were 3 specific doctors that I would recommend at your next visit to the hospital; Dr. Kelly, Dr. Mangone and Dr. Capo!
Had an appointment for the covid vaccine at 2pm, arrived 10 minutes early come to find out there's one single line for everyone (with appointments and walk ins) mixed on the same line. In other words don't bother making an appointment cause you'll be stuck on the same line as everyone else. Got out hour and a half later.
This is the worst hospital ever. They take forever to treat you, some of their staff members are nasty and they get upset if the patients call them many times if they need something. The service is poor, they do not care if the patient is in pain. My mom had surgery there and she was struggling with the pain, she was desperate, crying, and they took forever to assist her. They get mad at the family memebrs if they get involved and tell them to do something about the patient. They are just careless. What a disgrace! This hospital should close. They are bragging about their name and this means nothing. Poor service, poor caring, horrible staff, horrible doctors too. I am sorry but if you want to suffer, be in pain, and get treated like an animal go to this hospital.
I went to this place a couple of months ago, following a kidney stone's episode and extreme discomfort in my bladder. The doctor said that before proceeding to address my symptoms and reasons for my visit, that he'd like me to have a castcan to better evaluate the situation. I scheduled it, went to the appointment 2 weeks later and had the castcan done. Two months later, I have not heard from the doctor or the hospital for that matter, except for the 7 thousand dollars bill for both my visit and the castcan, urging me to pay it asap. I paid it in full, but so far, have not heard about my castcan result, any follow up visit for that study, not follow up for my original visit's issues, nothing at all. On the bright side, they validated my parking worth about 75 cents... so thanks ?
this is for the hospital administration!!!!!! Great staff!!! Clean facility. But you guys need to communicate better. Appointment for 7 AM, received a message on "mychart" to arrive at 6 am at 7600 River Rd. But they only open at 7 am and the appointment was located at another building, no signs or suite number telling me where the radiology dept. was. I waited 1 hr and finally could get my call answered and was told the suite number. Great, I found the location!!!! The staff was very very nice and it all went perfectly until I try to get out of the parking lot. They asked for my parking ticket so they could validade it.Great. Went to the machine and the machine does not accept the ticket. the sign is informing I have to pay at another machine. But where???????????? I see a staff member walking in the parking lot and asked her where was this machine located. She told me inside the main entrance. The guy at the front desk promptly validades my ticket again, this time there is a stamp on it.once more I get my car, go to the exit, and the machine still does not accept my ticket and does not open the gate. pls: make sure validated tickets are stamped by the staff make sure the paying machine is located outside, near the elevators in the parking lot. and the machine located on the exit has clear instructions and it is working properly. Have IT fix the default arrival time for appointments scheduled at the same time the offices are opening and not 1 hour earlier when no one is there. Not all appointments are for surgery. Thank you.
Initially I left a 1 star negative review but later I changed my mind to 4 star because of the following. After my 1 star review the relationship team representative contacted me on the same day and promised to follow up. Then I got a surgery and in the surgery room everybody was nice. Nurses, doctor and other personnel were nice and processional. The surgery per se was completed successfully. My initial review was as follows: I was scheduled for the surgery today. The medical nurse came out of the admitting hole at the first floor, and she was totally disrespectful. She had curly black long hairs and dark blue dress. It seems like she is not from the admitting department, she just did pass by and then went to the area behind the reception. I asked her what to do if I came for surgery and she totally ignored me. I asked her again and she asked to wait. Then she came back and ignored my questions again. Then she just ran away. So disrespectful. If I would have a choice I would definitely choose a different clinic for a surgery. I wouldn't trust my life to such disrespectful personnel.
If you are dying, don't go here. They will let you die while they talk on their cell phones & ignore you in pain so bad you are vomitting. They are the WORST possible staff EVER - ANYWHERE. They could truly care less if you drop dead, don't answer calls for nurses, and favor Spanish patients over everyone else. I saw 5 next to me come & go while I waited there for 12 hours, without their giving me heart meds, although my bp was at stroke level. They didn't give me pain killers for HOURS, and I had a catheter in me, and just shoved a bed pan under me. I passed a stool in it, and they let me sit in it for 3 hours. And I HAD INSURANCE. Seriously, if you know you are dying, stay home & do it there. At least you won't completely lose faith in kindness & humanity before you go. I am literally traumatized 3 days later. I cannot believe this place has not been shut down. There was another white man they left out on a stretcher outside of my "cove" who clearly had gangrene or something making his foot swell up to the point it looked like his skin was going to explode. No one tended to him for hours. The poor man was pale, and looked unresponsive, but they continued to cater to Spanish patient on the left & right of me, fairly frequently. This place is the definition of HELL.
If you have the option, do not choose this hospital. I went in last week after being referred to the ER by a PromptMD. We were checked in quickly, but the ER staff was rude, and extremely lacking in bedside manner. For starters, they inserted an IV into my left arm (the vein they used is the vein all doctors choose when I've had bloodwork done in the past, and there have never been issues) and the IV was so painful I wasn't able to lift or move my arm without shooting pain and numbness that stretched all the way down to my fingers. I asked the nurse if it was normal to be that painful, and she said "well, it's not supposed to feel good." Okay.... The nurse also tried to administer fluids through the IV, but she wasn't able to get it to hook in properly, so she wiggled the needle around. It still didn't work. I finally asked if it was possible to take it out and try the other arm. While I was waiting, someone (who was actually amazing) from the transport team came to get me to take me to the ultra sound room. I asked her if we could remove the IV before the test, and she asked three nurses/techs in front of my husband and me, and all three responded the same, "No, I'm on my break. Find someone else." I understand they were on a break, but my issue is they didn't care that they said this IN FRONT of me. At least talk like that away from the patients. There is plenty more to my visit, but I'd just say to go to a different hospital, if you have the option. *I'm including a picture of my arm one week later. It's a bit darker in person, but it still goes numb to my fingers when I bend it, and I still cannot fully extend the arm.* It's obvious additional training is needed at this hospital.
It's no wonder this hospital has a 2 star rating. I went there and was misdiagnosed. I was told nothing was wrong. A day later another location figured out I had a kidney infection. At the hospital I was moaning in pain. The nurses said they would treat the pain through IV with pain meds. They later said I could drive home so after I left in more pain than before. Turns out they gave me tyneol! I was in extreme pain. My sister who works in the ER said they give that if they think the patient is a drug addict. I am the complete opposite of one. I am ashamed this hospital is near my house as I would never in my life go back. What a waste. Their bill sent to me is $8,500, $100 with insurance. I don't even think I'll pay this bill it was the worst experience I ever had with a hospital. PLEASE don't go here, you will waste money, time and leave in more pain than you came in wk Even after I pay they send letters saying they will but you in outside collection agency. After you already paid!!!! Completely disorganized, avoid at all costs!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
