Barry Prystowsky's Online Review Report Card

Was given no directives, basically yessed to death when asking if we should do things for our son we had googled. Son kept losing weight and doctor was "stumped". We saw the doctor for maybe 5 minutes per appointment, you spend majority of the time with the nurse or physicians assistant. Oh and every time he needed a vaccination they were out of one of them so we always had to "come back" for one of his vaccinations.

This doctor is a hidden gem. I’m finally getting time to write this review. He has been our children’s doctor for appx 7 years and he has experience on his side. He doesn’t carry a lousy clipboard and chart to compare your kids to other children and what percentile they should be in. Rather he reassures you that all children are different and that their time will come with their growth, weight gain. We were worried our son wasn’t eating enough and not gaining weight or growing. We were doing everything we could to get him to eat, but he was more worried about playing and being active. We inquired about what kind of vitamins or food we could give him and Dr. Prystowsky explained, very patiently, that he will get to an age where he will develop a good eating habit and just continue what we were doing. What do you know, our son is now eating us out of our home and has been growing steadily. I think sometimes we need that type of doctor that provides reassurance and guidance for young and first time parents and he has made us feel incredibly at ease. From my wife, my two kids and I THANK YOU Dr. Prystowsky!

Dr Barry Prystowsky has been my children’s doctor since I moved to New Jersey 11 years ago. I would not trust any other doctor with my kids. He listen to what my kids and I tell him what is wrong. He is a very caring doctor. I recommend him for a pediatrician.

Dr Prystowsky took his time about listening to my concerns about my child’s health. He is very wise and knowledgeable. Whenever I brought my children to him I knew they were in the hands of a great pediatrician. Besides a a wonderful pediatrician he is also a great person .

Great doctor, went here all through my childhood and was treated great. I would recommend anyone go.

Dr. Prystowsky is one of the best doctors I have ever had. A rare breed in today's world of getting patients in and out as quickly and inefficiently as possible. He takes the time to get to know his patients, is always professional, and actually treats with empathy and patience. My siblings and I went to him our whole childhood and now have our children see him. With all his years of experience he is always correct in diagnosing his patients. Finding a doctor like him is very difficult. Someone mentioned him being "touchy feely" do not listen to that review. He is NOT creepy or innapropriate at all.

I been going to Dr Barry for over 21 years he's the Best Doctor I know he very open and he will go far and beyond for his patient.... if your looking for a Doctor that really cares about his patient and also the staff....you shouldn't look no further

Dr. Prystowsky is the best! He can't be any nicer to us and our baby. He's very knowledgeable and took his time to answer all of our questions. I'd recommend him to anyone looking for a pediatrician in jersey area. Thanks again for always taking good care of us.

I have been taking my daughters to see Dr. Barry Prystowsky since early 2006, shortly before my youngest was born. I sought him out because his father, Dr. Milton Prystowsky, had been my pediatrician when I was a child. I was so thrilled, when I relocated to my home town, to see that a Prystowsky had a pediatric practice nearby. It was a wonderful decision. Dr. Barry is highly skilled and compassionate. He is well-versed in the latest developments in pediatric medicine, and yet he is as capable in the dying art of physical diagnosis as his father was. Most of all, he listens -- really listens -- and respects the parent's perception. This is what my own mother liked most about his father. His staff is competent and friendly, and we rarely wait for more than 5 minutes to be seen. He has recently taken on a new partner -- I try to avoid her. She seems very intelligent and I'm sure she is a highly capable doctor, but she is far from being the excellent listener that Dr. Barry is. If you are a new patient, try to make sure you get to see Dr. Barry.
