List of Skylands Medical Group's Reviews
I am having a terrible time communicating with them. I get text messages from CVS to pickup prescriptions, no contact from the doctor or their office. I miss Peter Crawford! Time to look around.
If I could give a 0 star I would, desk and nurse were very pleasant. I saw apn karan wehbeh and he tried to tell me my PTSD wasn’t sufficient because I didn’t have any scars or was in the military. He asked if the medicine I take for my depression, which I’ve been on for month, was for my seizures.. Never once had a seizure nor put it on my medical record. Also argues with you.
I love my doctor but unfortunately he belongs to this group which now doesn't have time for appointments and I get stuck on hold trying to make an appointment for a very long time. Looks like it's time to find a new doctor
Dr Gloria is wonderful, and so is his staff. I’ve been a patient for 20 years & have found them to be efficient & caring. With a family of 4, we’ve had many office visits over the years. The worst part about moving soon is finding another Dr & office like this one.
Had to wait an hour for a Flu shot. Claimed not to have the appointment in the system. Also, seems Like everytime I go there I am updating my records!!@
This is my first time ever writing a bad review - but it is beyond disappointing with the way I was treated by a new doctor who replaced an amazing person, Dr. Mary Magnusen. I have been a patient in that office for over 15 years and thought I would never change practices at this point in my life, until today. At my age of almost 48, I expect change, especially in today’s day. Working full time while I raise my child during virtual homeschooling, I completely understand there needs to be rules and procedures to follow. Thank Throughout these changes, people need to be advised in advance and/or accommodations should be made to make things work for both parties. A simple call to fill a prescription a couple of days ago turned into getting a call today to be told they will not fill it until I have an office visit (which I stay on top of). I explained I have no problem with that (even though I was just there 6 months ago). However, being that the office is so busy and can’t get me in for another week, I asked if they can prescribe at least one weeks worth since I am out. Then “Dr. Kristine Cornejo“ called me. I was expecting a pleasant introduction for her new patient, but was quickly taken back with how cold and rude she was. The disrespect she had in her tone and things she said shocked me! She treated me as if I was some hyped up druggy! If she actually even bothered to look at my chart, she would see I am on a very low dose just once per day - not to mention, by the time I remember to call for refills I am past the date & already out. She had the nerve to tell me she needs to make sure I not abuser of a narcotic!! Obviously that is a horrible thing for many people, as well as risking her license...but WHAT??! You don’t even KNOW ME nor did you read my chart! I made the appointment as soon as I was told that is the new procedure. I simply asked for no more than “one week” until my appointment WITH HER! Read the chart and do the math! If I ever abused the most mild dose, prescribed once per day - you can tell! It’s simple math! Actually, at this point, it has absolutely NOTHING to do with the medication. I will live without. This is about how belittling & downright rude she was! I have NEVER been treated like that. I truly feel bad for all of Dr. Magnusen’s patients now to have to deal with Dr. Cornejo. I will not be one of them.
Dr. Cornejo recently joined Skylands Medical Group. She is caring, thorough, funny and is always is looking for the best treatments for her patients. So many people are "popping pills" to temporarily solve the issue, but she wants to get down to the root cause and address it. I applaud this approach to health care. To many doctors just writing prescriptions, saying "see ya in a year" , with no regards to the long term effect on the patient. If I need a follow up appointment I know it is for my own health and well being.
I have been a patient of Pete Crawford’s for about 12 years and I actually followed him from Sparta all the way to oak ridge because he was great and I really liked him! I try not to write bad reviews but this has just been bothering me and it’s not really Pete Crawford’s fault more so on the front seat ladies! Well on August 27th I called to make a drs appointment to see Pete and the lady asked me what for I explained that I needed to be seen for my depression and anxiety, she told me that Pete wouldn’t be in the office til September 3rd, I told her that’s fine I can wait 1 week she then comes back on the phone and states that unfortunately Pete can’t see me until the end of September 😱 I told I can not wait that long that it was to long of a wait and I have been having a lot of panic attacks ect I asked if a different dr could see me and she told me no! Now she never asked if I was okay or never asked if I wanted to speak to the nurse nothing I never got a phone from a dr or from a nurse NOTHING!! I am just mind blown 🤯 I can not believe they wouldn’t even ask if I was okay or anything! What if I was suicidal which I wasn’t but the next patient they turn away might be!! This is what’s wrong in the world, mental health is not prioritized!! Now I am looking for a new dr because if they can just push me away for this then I don’t want to go there anymore! 12 years 🤦🏻♀️
The front office people are rude and incompetent. The worst I have ever encountered. The doctors are okay, nothing great. Peter Crawford isn't technically a doctor . I never write reviews, so I'm not good at them. This office started out as our nice, friendly, helpful neighborhood doctor. The front office staff are a group of rude, demeaning group of women lacking compassion. I can't believe I've had these experiences at a doctor's office. We've been with them for 20 years and will now seek another primary physician for our family. The office manager at Skyland medical group of Oak Ridge is a nightmare.
The doctors here are great but no one ever picks up the phone or returns calls after messages are left.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
